Category:Chinese footballers
OK Dsp13 (talk) let me get this straight, you've gone on to delete the Category:Chinese footballers from as I speak 44 players even though the majority of the people from Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football still believe that this page has relevance.
You're also created a new page Category:Chinese association football defenders, which needs further discussion such as 1) What about players who play in several positions? 2) Does a player fall into this category if they've only played a few minutes there, or only one game there? 3a) Are you gonna apply a simular page to all the other countries? 3b) If not why not?

Dear Dsp13 thank you for re-directing me to Categorisation discussion of your recently created category page. After reading the arguments presented I don't think this the best way in refining the search for a player and I will be reverting the player pages you changed.
Yours sincerely User talk:Kai Lau 16 October.

Hello Dsp13. Thanks for creating the article on former PM Nasuhi al-Bukhari. I expanded the article a bit, and nominated it to WP:DYK. I hope you don't mind. Also, thanks for that great resource of redlinks you put together, it comes quite handy. Cheers. Yazan (talk) 14:28, 15 September 2012 (UTC)

DYK for Nasuhi al-Bukhari
On 26 September 2012, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Nasuhi al-Bukhari, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that former Syrian prime minister Nasuhi al-Bukhari resigned after only three months in office when talks to ratify the Franco-Syrian Treaty of Independence broke down? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Nasuhi al-Bukhari. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. It is considered good practice to add a WP:WikiProject banner template or two to the talk page of every article you create. You may or may not assess the article at that time. This allows various bots and users to find your creations. Speciate (talk) 21:38, 10 October 2012 (UTC)

List of schools/meetup
I've got my grammar school list up now, at List of English and Welsh endowed schools (19th century). I guess any attempt to describe the unreformed system is going to be messy, for reasons explained in the lead.

Thanks for the editing. I wish I had a slick answer about what to do with the list, which isn't comprehensive (no pun intended). Plenty to do with those schools, and perhaps other lists will be needed in future. Category:Ancient grammar schools of Cheshire, an oddity, shows up the problem. Disambiguation link notification for December 11
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Eduard Norden, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page James Conant (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Wikidata weekly summary #36
- Development
- Deployed new code on wikidata.org. All changes can be found here
- Updated demo system
- http://test2.wikipedia.org now uses http://wikidata.org for getting language links and wikidata.org edits affecting the existing articles on test2 show up in RecentChanges (if they are not hidden)
- Statements (think of “population: 2.000.000” and similar things) are taking shape in the interface. They are still pretty buggy though at this point.
- It is now possible to link to images on Wikimedia Commons in a statement (think of “image: sundown_at_the_beach.png” for example)
- Links are now protocol-relative (bugzilla:42534)
- No longer possible to create new items and set labels when database is set to read-only
- Added more tests to the GeoCoordinate parser
- Make use of EditEntity in removeclaims API
- Removed many singletons to reduce global state
- Made SpecialSetLabel work with non-item entities
- Improved settings system
- Improved options of ValueFormatters
- Improved options of ValueParsers
- Moved label+description uniqueness check out of transaction to avoid deadlocks and changed it to only be enforced for edits changing any violating values
- Fixed serialization of SiteArray
- ~=[,,_,,]:3
- Had to fix reporting of aliases in wbsearchentities again
- Implemented integration of baserevids for statements UI API calls for editconflict detection for statements/claims/snaks
- Universal Language Selector fallback fix for Selenium tests
- Report URL to entity in wbsearchentites API module
- Moved the demo system to a larger server
- Fixed several bugs in Statements user interface, most notably, adding Statements to existing sections and layout fixes
- Added wikibase API module on the client to provide information about the associated repo (e.g. url, script path, article path)
- A bunch of messages for autocomments were fixed (they are automatically added as an edit summary for edits on items and co in Wikidata - for example: “Changed [en] description: Finnish rock band”)

Fairly tangled. A trawl through the ODNB makes it clear that post-1860 there was a London Review, though possibly failing. The individual notability of some of these seems troublesome, but of course the inclusionist line that they all are is reasonable. Charles Matthews (talk) 08:35, 9 December 2012 (UTC)
- I think I'd make that page title about the 1829 one - short-lived but well-documented and the effort of a fairly well-defined intellectual grouping - and have a (disambiguation) page for this list. Timperley misdates Cumberland's 1809 effort, which leads the Waterloo Directory (to which I have academic access at the moment) to misunderstand what he says as being about the European Magazine. As you say, fairly tangled. Dsp13 (talk) 21:12, 11 December 2012 (UTC)
So I have now created Oriel Noetics which was worthy in its own right. I came to much the same conclusion as you, and will try to find out more about the 1829 London Review. Charles Matthews (talk) 10:46, 12 December 2012 (UTC)
Rather a lot of matters arising as I chase up the Noetics. Several come from Henry Taylor (dramatist): the Leslie Stephen biog in the DNB on Taylor, an associate of his father, is somewhat tantalising. George Taylor the father of Henry Taylor might be notable: radical sympathies, and reported I believe to the 1832 Royal Commission ([1]) but more needed. Two women from the Henry Taylor biography look notable: Isabella Fenwick via the Wordsworth connection, and the daughter Ida who is in the ODNB as a biographer. Richard Whately and Nassau Senior both need attention, certainly. Charles Matthews (talk) 12:15, 17 December 2012 (UTC)
- Taylor's pretty sui generis - but then I find I always think of Victorian dramatists as that. I'm not sure the article's right to call his Stateman a satire - it's unlike anything else at the time, but I think had some serious intent, as an effort (& yet another way of claiming to be Baconian!) to describe how administration actually happened. I'll have a shy at one of the redlinks you suggest. Dsp13 (talk) 16:24, 17 December 2012 (UTC)
I assume the Statesman was the Yes, Minister of its time. By the way, this list is all 600 names from the Dictionary of Nineteenth-century British Philosophers, some of which can be done from the DNB, and some of which are on your redlinks list. Have a good Xmas. Charles Matthews (talk) 14:12, 23 December 2012 (UTC)
exactlyvery approximately 100 redlinks left on that list! We'll see what we can do about that. Merry Xmas to you. Dsp13 (talk) 09:54, 24 December 2012 (UTC)
