The page Draft:Emma Njoku has been deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. As the page met any of these strictly-defined criteria, it was deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been deleted are:
- It seemed to be unambiguous advertising which only promoted a company, product, group, service, person, or point of view and would need to have been fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
- It appeared to be an unambiguous copyright infringement of https://guardian.ng/news/education-primary-health-care-critical-to-sustainable-development-says-emmanuel-njoku/. (See section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition has been deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
Please do not recreate the material without addressing these concerns, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If you think this page should not have been deleted for this reason, you may contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you may open a discussion at Wikipedia:Deletion Review. Request reason:
kindly unblock me, error is regretted and will not be repeated Ekpestar (talk) 14:29, 14 June 2023 (UTC)
Decline reason:
Wikipedia does not have "profiles", not a single one. Wikipedia has articles. Whether you are associated with him or not, your purpose here is considered promotional, and you won't be permitted to edit about Emma Njoku at this time. Creating a new article is the most difficult task to perform on Wikipedia, and you will need to learn much more before you will be permitted to edit about him. If there are other topics you want to contribute about, please tell what. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 16:37, 14 June 2023 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
I've fixed the formatting of your request. What is your association with Emma Njoku, and what edits do you intend to make? 331dot (talk) 14:50, 14 June 2023 (UTC)
- I have no personal association with Emma Njoku,I have only been following the activities of his foundation online and I have read testimonies of his charitable works from a number of people who are beneficiaries of his charity works. My contribution is simply to create a wikipedia profile to help protect the work he is doing to help the poor. every information I have posted about him are from reputable sources online, and I have no doubt that they are factual. I am surprised why the editors are taking such negative action on my submission and blocking my account. i feel harrased — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ekpestar (talk • contribs)
- Criticism of your edits is not harassment. Talk to people who actually have been harassed and put in danger before you claim that. 331dot (talk) 16:38, 14 June 2023 (UTC)
in respect to Emma Njoku article, can the editor that deleted and blocked me show evidence as to where the article I created is promotional or unambiguous advertising? I will like to know so that next time,it can serve as a guide. I am repeating that I was careful with my choice of words about the subject so as not to breach any wikipedia guideline and I am appealing for a careful consideration of my request for the sake of fairness and equity. thank you — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ekpestar (talk • contribs) 16:45, 14 June 2023 (UTC)
- On your first try, you added sentences like
He is a consummate and dedicated executive with an exceptional entrepreneurial mindset.
Setting aside the fact that it's a copyright violation, how on earth is that not promotional or unambiguous advertising? You were then told on this page that you should not "recreate the material without addressing these concerns", but your second draft was identical to the first, and deleted for the same reasons. Then you created the draft for a third time, and this time it included sentences such asEmma Njoku seeks and fights for a better world one day at a time.
Do you see why you need to demonstrate that these issues wouldn't reoccur if you were unblocked? (Please remember to sign your posts on talk pages by typing four keyboard tildes like this:~~~~
. Or, you can use the [ reply ] button, which automatically signs posts.) DanCherek (talk) 02:50, 15 June 2023 (UTC)- I am assuring you that henceforth the errors will not be repeated in my subsequent articles.
- I offer unreserved apologies. Kindly unblock me and I will pay closer attention to all guidelines. Thank you Ekpestar (talk) 14:01, 15 June 2023 (UTC)
