[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added such as to the page Champagne stemware do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. - Hello, I am trying to figure out how to upload photos so I can talk about the history of different techniques and how these items are made. So far I seem to only be able to find how to add a link. How do you add an image?— Preceding unsigned comment added by Elibeard (talk • contribs)
- Hey, I noticed you've been having some trouble here. You may want to read Wikipedia's Image Use Policy for some background on the use of images at Wikipedia. Certain actions are restricted from new users, and uploading files is one of them. Once you have become an autoconfirmed user, which happens automatically once you have been active for 4 days and have made 10 article edits, you will then be allowed to upload images. Until then, you may want to read the Image Use Policy I linked from above, as well as Wikipedia:Uploading images and Help:Files for more on uploading images for use at Wikipedia. The most important thing to remember is that, with a few exceptions, you may only upload images that either you have made yourself, OR which are lisenced to be used under a Wikipedia-compatible lisence, such as CC-BY-SA, or which are old enough to be part of the public domain. If you have any further questions, you can ask at Wikipedia:Help desk or place the {{helpme}} tag on this page, and someone will be along to help you shortly. Otherwise, let me welcome you to Wikipedia, and I hope you become an active editor here. We can always use more good editors. --Jayron32 04:56, 2 November 2009 (UTC)
