List of air forces accents
[edit]Hi F L A N K E R.
Thanks for mopping op the grave accent.
In the article List of air forces you have inserted some tail decals. Do you have the white circle with three black axes(?), used on the wings of Italian aircraft wwii?
Marinavia was also used by Italian naval air arm, but how? --Necessary Evil 22:01, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
Corpo Aeronautico Militare in World War One
[edit]Hi F L A N K E R.
Didn't the Corpo Aeronautico Militare use the in world war one?
Personally I find both and a bit to cramped as thumbnails.
Did the Italian Co-Belligerent Air Force use on the wings in 1943-45?

Cavalleria dell'Aria
[edit]Hi F L A N K E R.
Thanks for the clarifications. I've seen the Italian Army Aviation named as Cavalleria dell'Aria (present), is that the official name? --Necessary Evil 14:27, 14 August 2006 (UTC)
Libya
[edit]Hi F L A N K E R.
I could not upload Image:Libyan roundel.png, because suddenly .png files was not good enough. You seem to be able to make .svg files, so would you please create an Image:Libyan roundel.svg (just a green circle) ?
Secondly I tried to create a link between the game L'erede misterioso (13 Dead End Drive in English) at http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cluedo with the text: 12 eredi che si assassinano, which is supposed to mean with 12 heirs trying to murder each other.
My link was hidden with a comment:nascondo finché non si fa la voce. Do you know what this means? --Necessary Evil 21:26, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
- Hi F L A N K E R.
- Sorry, I didn't know Libya had had so many Air Forces, and roundels!
- I'm writing an article on the Danish wikipedia regarding a game called 13 Dead End Drive. In my research, I discovered the name of the game in different languages and I wanted to wikilink my Danish article to the Italian Wikipedia. The game is called L'erede misterioso in Italy, but there is no article on it.wikipedia.org. In order to create a demand for a http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/L'erede_misterioso article, I inserted a red L'erede misterioso link at http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cluedo with the text: 12 eredi che si assassinano, which in my poor Italian is supposed to mean with 12 heirs trying to murder each other.
- Someone hide my edit with the comment:nascondo finché non si fa la voce. Do you know what that mean? --Necessary Evil 16:27, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
Edits
[edit]Hi F L A N K E R.
I think that you are doing a tremendously fine job with the List of air forces, BUT
looking at the history, you have 4-5 editions in a row, often within a few minutes. If you use [Alt][v], you can see a preview of your editions. Fewer number of edits might stretch the capacity of Wikipedias servers.
I saw that you had made more than hundred roundels, what programme are you using? Necessary Evil 00:49, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry, I made a mistake: Show preview is [Alt][p] and Show changes is [Alt][v]. Necessary Evil 20:07, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
Gah, curse you, wiki syntax!
[edit]Re: your note on my talk page [1], see Talk:Ranks and insignia of NATO Air Forces Officers. On top of my inability to fix things, from looking at my contributions, it also appears I criss-crossed the Air Force insignia with the Navy insignia. I'm gonna go have some turkey and maybe things will get better. :) Thanks for the note, hopefully you can unsnarl my mess. — MrDolomite | Talk 10:41, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
Orphaned fair use image (Image:Alfa Romeo.png)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Alfa Romeo.png. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Fritz S. (Talk) 14:48, 26 November 2006 (UTC)
Hi. Can you tell us what this is representing? The three sources you gave don't make it clear what this is exactly or why there are stylistic differences from what is on the Vatican website. Can you show us where this emblem is used by the Vatican as oppose to different looking versions. It's very well done, I'm just not sure what it is :O --gren グレン 18:41, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

Heta uc lc.svg
[edit]Please create in Commons Heta uc lc.svg, because it was added to Unicode 5.1 - all codepoints are now already stable and final. Big and small Heta looks like left half of Eta, as is displayed here: http://std.dkuug.dk/jtc1/sc2/wg2/docs/n3263.pdf Please also remove bottom serifs from small Digamma, small Sho, small Qoppa, and remove all serifs from small San, while introducing missing bottom serifs to big Sampi. It is needed to achieve consistence of these letters with rest of Greek alphabet. CBMIBM (talk) 11:35, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
Please also place in horizontal bar of big Heta right serif as is in case of Epsilon. You can shape small San like small Mu, but with arc line raised to half of height of right vertical bar. You can too replace current Euro-shaped numerical Sampi with T-shaped alphabetical Sampi, that is displayed here: http://std.dkuug.dk/jtc1/sc2/wg2/docs/n3263.pdf CBMIBM (talk) 16:46, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
Please make small T-shaped Sampi with exactly the same height as big T-shaped Sampi, because it looks now odd. Please also introduce to big T-shaped Sampi serifs into ends of unserifed left and right vertical lines and upper-left/upper-right corners, as is in case of upside-down Russian , but of course with nearly half length of left and right vertical lines, as is currently with T-shaped Sampi. Pamphylian Digamma is unneeded, because it is a secondary variant of main F-shaped Digamma. Similarly, T-shaped Sampi is main, while Euro-shaped Sampi is a secondary variant. CBMIBM (talk) 17:55, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
Now all shapes looks perfectly. Thanks for help. But which program you used for editing of these Greek letter SVG images, and how to import these shapes easily to TTF format to make fonts easily? CBMIBM (talk) 22:01, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
Sampi uc lc.svg revert
[edit]Your T-Sampi was reverted to your earlier Euro-Sampi, because Euro-Sampi is more popular despite of being only numerical derivative of main alphabetical T-Sampi, and moved to separate name. Because your T-Sampi was not accepted as main variant, but only as secondary variant, please in current main Euro-Sampi variant use in bottom of its right leg the same type of serif, as was used in bottom of its its left leg, because it now looks odd like mix of uppercase and lowercase features. You can even make better new big Sampi as this placed here: http://unicode.org/charts/PDF/U0370.pdf I think that this will be the best solution. CBMIBM (talk) 15:06, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
Please make nearly horizontal bars in big Euro-Sampi stylized in the same manner as is with horizontal bar in big Heta, to avoid mixing styles of uppercase and lowercase. CBMIBM (talk) 20:52, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
Yot uc lc.svg
[edit]Please make in Commons "Yot uc lc.svg" image, because in Unicode is too Greek letter Yot. Big Yot looks exactly as big Latin J, and small Yot looks like small Latin j, but without dot, and with leftward hook descended identically as in small Latin j, but typographically styled identically as small Greek Iota rightward hook. CBMIBM (talk) 15:42, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry, this is a bit misleading. The so-called Greek yot character in Unicode is not really a Greek letter, it's supposed to represent what is really just the plain Latin Jod letter when used in Greek linguistics. It really look just like Jj, typically with a dot. Fut.Perf. ☼ 17:08, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

Viscosity units
[edit]Hi Flanker,
The Pascal-second (the SI unit of dynamic viscosity) is in fact equal to kg/(m.s):

Digamma
[edit]Thanks for your message. There has not been discussion of this except in my edit summaries, and I'm not sure that there is any unresolved issue that would require discussion, because I'm pretty sure that all parties agree that (1) SVG is the superior image format, and (2) File:Digamma_uc_lc.svg is a nonstandard form of the letter, unknown in printed Ancient Greek (and this character is not used in Modern Greek), and inappropriate for the purpose of illustrating the shape of digamma. At least, if anyone disputes (2), they have not taken the trouble to express their views on any talk page. Therefore I am comfortable giving my assurance to you that if you can update File:Digamma_uc_lc.svg (by the way, for some reason this displays differently for me at Italian Wikipedia, but what I see there is still not a good model) to follow the shape in File:Digamma2 uc lc.png, you will be making all parties happy. Please feel free to contact me if I can provide any further information. P.S. The Times New Roman forms illustrated in File:Digamma2 (Ϝϝ).png are equally appropriate, if you think that fits in better with the style of the other letters than the Vusillus Old Face shapes. Wareh (talk) 13:58, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
- That's great work! Many thanks for the improvement. Wareh (talk) 17:24, 18 March 2009 (UTC)

Non-free rationale for File:Re.2007 - Pellizzola.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Re.2007 - Pellizzola.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page.
