Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution

[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from A Song of Ice and Fire into Draft:A Dream of Spring. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was copied, attribution is not required. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 14:44, 15 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The Decision

[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your edit to the disambiguation page The Decision. However, please note that disambiguation pages are not articles; rather, they are meant to help readers find a specific article quickly and easily. From the disambiguation dos and don'ts, you should:

  • Only list articles that readers might reasonably be looking for
  • Use short sentence fragment descriptions, with no punctuation at the end
  • Use exactly one navigable link ("blue link") in each entry
    • Only add a "red link" if used in existing articles, and include a "blue link" to an appropriate article
  • Do not pipe links (unless style requires it) – keep the full title of the article visible
  • Do not insert external links or references

Thank you. Leschnei (talk) 03:05, 26 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Lists of films

[edit]

I prefer deleting the "upcoming" films, because keeping them preserves old references from when a movie was announced, possibly years ago, instead of more recent sources that would mention actual production or a release date. Also, it makes it easy for editors to readd the movies by removing the commenting code, as an editor just did on List of musical films by year. Trivialist (talk) 21:45, 1 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
