Welcome

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia! We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your recent edits do not conform to our policies. For more information on this, see Wikipedia's policies on vandalism and limits on acceptable additions. If you'd like to experiment with the wiki's syntax, please do so in the "sandbox" rather than in articles.

If you still have questions, there is a new contributor's help page, or you can write {{helpme}} below this message along with a question and someone will be along to answer it shortly. You may also find the following pages useful for a general introduction to Wikipedia.

I hope you enjoy editing and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Feel free to write a note on the bottom of my talk page if you want to get in touch with me. Again, welcome! Dougweller (talk) 09:51, 3 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Warning

[edit]

If you make offensive comments in the edit summary, your edit is likely to be immediately reverted whatever its merits. . . Mean as custard (talk) 09:38, 3 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Note also that Farrokh, who works as a college counselor (that's his academic background as well), is not considered to be a reliable source by our criteria at WP:VERIFY, and that his website contains material that is copyright to other people or organisations (eg the Limbert article) and we should not be linking to it. Lurs

[edit]

A lot of the material you added can be used, but as I've said in my edit summary, not in the form you've added it. Citations need to include book title, author, publisher, date, page number of the page or pages you are using, and preferably ISBN. If you look at the menu above the edit field where you type, you should see a dropdown box at the right that says cite. If you make sure the arrow is pointing down, then you will see at the left 'Templates'. Click on that and then on cite book. Then click on show extra field and add the required information. In a lot of cases, especially where something is controversial, you also need to say something like 'so and so says'. See WP:Words to avoid as well. The material I deleted can still be viewed in the history, so it's not lost forever. You are clearly trying harder - sorry about this but there is a learning curve and we need to make sure that our articles are as good as possible. You will find that articles and maybe even this one don't source or attribute properly at times, but I'm sure that you want your edits to be as good as possible. Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Shahram Nazeri may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:

Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 20:48, 25 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The sources DO claim these people are Kurds. I haven't checked all of them, but the ones I've checked DO make this claim. e.g. Nazeri's own website: http://www.nazerismusic.com/EN/main.asp?status=biography . Please stop mass-removing Kurds from the Wiki. You need to justify your edits. --R.S. Peale (talk) 20:59, 25 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Ronhjones. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Mejak without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry: I restored the removed content. If you would like to experiment, you can use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! Please do not add 'PROD templates with a fake date - the history will be checked before deletion - and a time stamp of 20110322085834 is 2 years old. Also G7 can only be applied by the original author.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 00:24, 14 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Semko Libadi, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 00:27, 14 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates, or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did at Omid Kordestani, you may be blocked from editing. This is a third level warning as I can see that you've been warned about blanking content previously.--Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 20:35, 2 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You are suspected of sock puppetry, which means that someone suspects you of using multiple Wikipedia accounts for prohibited purposes. Please make yourself familiar with the notes for the suspect, then respond to the evidence at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Beh-nam. Thank you.
