Thanks
Thanks for noticing! Finally, a positive contribution for my work on a television station. I get so many postings saying that most of what I include in an article does not pertain to the station or that the logos are not correct. I have no idea what people mean when they say things like that. Do you see anything in the articles that does not refer to the stations? I am also working on WAWS and WTEV. Check out my User Page to see some of my other contributions, mostly in New England and Southwest Florida, but in other locations as well. Strafidlo 23:41, 23 July 2007 (UTC)
I forgot to mention that the two articles could use some confirmations in terms of the news team and when they appear on broadcasts. I assume you have that information. Strafidlo 00:31, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
WTEV-TV
Hello again. The WTEV article could use some confirmations in terms of the news team and when they appear on broadcasts. Thanks. I am also working on WAWS. Strafidlo 01:10, 26 July 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for all the stuff you have been doing for the Brunswick area. I live here, but you know a lot about it. (We get down to Jax from time to time.) Bubba73 (talk), 01:09, 27 August 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, thats what I figured. I actually already know how to do it and I have done that switch form some images. By the way, thanks for the Original Barnstar award. Are you an administrator or do you just know about the award? Are there awards for other subjects? Strafidlo 23:56, 29 September 2007 (UTC)
Super Bowl XXXIX GA nomination
Hi, I saw that you nominated Super Bowl XXXIX at Good article nominations and just wanted to point out that the article is currently missing a few things that will result in it being quick-failed. The main logo doesn't have a fair use rationale and the article has insufficient sourcing of inline citations. These are both requirements of the GA criteria which determine what articles are GAs. I'd recommend removing the nomination of the article for now until the issues are fixed (since adding inline citations for the information should take a while to complete) and renominating again later once you have addressed the criteria. Otherwise, if you leave the nomination up, somebody will probably quick-fail it. Anyway, good job on the article so far, and I hope you continue to improve it. If you have any questions, let me know on my talk page and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. --Nehrams2020 20:16, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
Disputed fair use rationale for Image:YRClogo.PNG
Thanks for uploading Image:YRClogo.PNG. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 21:44, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

Wikiproject Jacksonville
Hey Jaxfl, I took a bit of a break from editing here for personal reasons, so my apologies if you were waiting awhile for a response. :D I'd be glad to help out in the project. I'm not sure if I can add much, but I'll try my best. Stills64 (talk) 18:40, 21 November 2007 (UTC)

Donna Deegan
Thanks for uploading Image:Donna Deegan.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the media description page and edit it to add
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ˉˉanetode╦╩ 04:03, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
- I think there's a chance you might be able to procure permission from the copyright holder to release this photo under a free license. Instructions for doing this are available at U:RFC, and I'll be glad to help if you choose to pursue that route. Cheers, ˉˉanetode╦╩ 04:06, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
- I talked to Donna about it; she let me use it and granted the image free of copyrights. Contact me for proof of the email. Jaxfl (talk) 11:28, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
- Please send the e-mail proof to permissions-en@wikimedia.org - a volunteer will catalog it using WP:OTRS. Nice job on getting the release! ˉˉanetode╦╩ 07:02, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
- Done I forwarded it. Thanks, Anetode! Jaxfl (talk) 17:23, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

WikiProject invitation
Sorry, but I'm working too many WikiProjects right now, although I love the idea. Good luck. If you're not able to get enough support for a full WikiProject you may wish to make it a Task force under WikiProject Georgia. That would only take about five editors and may be more effective. I added several citations to Super Bowl XXXIX, and have asked someone to assess it. I hope this helped - - Milk's Favorite Cookie 22:23, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

Brunswick article
I saw that you made a lot of changes to Brunswick, Georgia, removing some material. I agree with moving the environmental stuff to Glynn County, since part of it is not in the city. However, I thought the stuff about the Liberty ships was good. Do you think it should be removed? Moved to the article on Liberty ships? Bubba73 (talk), 02:49, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
- No, I didn't know about the History of Brunswick article, and that would be a good place for the Liberty ship material. And if it is there, one paragraph in the main Brunswick would be enough. Since you put a GA request on it, I assumed that you were through with your changes for the time being. Thanks for all you do. Bubba73 (talk), 03:10, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
Noah McCullough
I see that you did some edits a few months ago on the Noah McCullough article. I think this page needs to be redone. What do you think? Sobar (talk) 16:53, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
- Hi Sobar. The article does need quite a bit of work. I cleaned the page to a minimum (removing useless material that does not belong in an encyclopedia); I'll try to do some more when I have time. And just for the record -- Noah's blog has some useful information which includes a link to his recent August interview on The Today Show. Jax (talk) 01:46, 25 August 2008 (UTC)
Queens
I have just sent the following to webmaster [at] whitehousemuseum [dot] org
Someone has been creating articles on Wikipedia about the White House. You caused me considerable confusion because you cannot decide yourselves on the apostrophisation of Queens.
In http://whitehousemuseum.org/floor2/queens-bedroom.htm the <title> says Queen's but the <h1> says Queens'
In http://whitehousemuseum.org/floor2/queens-sitting-room.htm both the <title> and the <h1> say Queen's
Please sort yourselves out. — RHaworth (Talk | contribs) 06:22, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
- The apostrophisation baffled me also. The floor plan at the museum's website shows it as Queens', but it appears to be different in the various articles. I've always defined it as the Queens' Bedroom, but I'm curious to see what the webmaster says. Jax (talk) 06:30, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
Center Hall
Hi, yes, there is a Center Hall on the ground floor as well as the second floor. But no source I've seen other than Derek Jansen's White House Museum uses "Central Hall. The White House Historical Association guide book uses Center Hall, james Abbott's "Designing Camelot" past White House curator Betty Monkman's "The White House Its Historic Furnishings & First Families," and William Seale's "The White House, the story of an Idea" all use this term. We should consider Second Floor Center Hall (White House) perhaps. CApitol3 (talk) 22:13, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
- Hi. I promise that I don't like conflict -- I really don't :) -- but Encarta (CTRL+F for Central Hall) and The Reagan Library (CTRL+F again) both have the room as the Central Hall. Also, the book Real Life at the White House has it as Central Hall. The WHHA does use the term, but it also uses the Central Hall (CTRL+F here). It's a similar situation to the East Sitting Hall, where certain sites use the East Sitting Room. United Statesman (talk) 22:24, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
Hi. I am sorry, I've met no disrespect or commotion. I have checked through several editions of the official guide book, published by the White House Historical Association, the Historic American Building Survey and it is consistently termed Center Hall. I dug a little deeper looking at Henrietta Nesbitt's White House Diary, Wendell Garrett's Our Changing White House. Lillian Rogers Parks' Backstairs at the White House, and J.B. West's Upstairs at the White House (My Life with the First Ladies) and none use this term "Central Hall." Floor plans in the government publication The Report of the Commission on the Renovation of the Executive Mansion and in William Ryan and Desmond Guiness' The White House, an Architectural History use the term Center Hall. As I mentioned last night neither do the authors Seale or Monkman. From all I have seen it is far more the exception to call it the Central Hall. But it is an understandable intent to distinguish it from the ground floor's Center Hall. What would you think of titling the article "Second Floor Center Hall (White House) and in the lead-in paragraph beginning it as The second floor Center Hall or occasionally Central Hall ...? CApitol3 (talk) 14:38, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
- Agreed.
The Center Hall (or Central Hall) is located on the second floor of the White House...
As for the article name, Second Floor Center Hall (White House) or Center Hall (White House second floor) seems most appropriate. United Statesman (talk) 17:21, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
- Done. Thanks. And thanks for taking on floor plans and articles or the as yet unincluded rooms! CApitol3 (talk) 20:37, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
Photographs of White House
Hi United Statesman, I am not sure you know that the White House Museum is not a government website, and that many photographs on that site are neither the creation or property of the United States government. The site's web master, Derek Jensen, attempts to credit all photographs and you will note that several are credited to the non-government, private magazine Architectural Digest. The photograph you have uploaded depicting the Queen's Bedroom is not a U.S. government work. Please also note that after discussion with several editors it has been agreed to illustrate the articles on specific White House rooms with photographs of rooms focused on the architecture and decorative arts without human occupants. Photographs that show the rooms in use are best placed in articles about those people, with interwiki links to the room articles. CApitol3 (talk)
Southworth House
Thanks much for making a decision and offering comments on the Southworth House! As you saw, I've never participated in the GA process, so frankly I assumed that there would be something I'd forgotten that was necessary for a GA. I don't know if I'll be able to get any more pictures, as I'm never in Cleveland except for medical business that's now nearly done, and it's on the other side of the city. I'll see if I can get someone else, much more local, to look into it. Nyttend (talk) 02:23, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
- You're very welcome. The backlog at the GA nomination page is terrible; Southworth was an easy pass. Take care. United Statesman (talk) 03:29, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
