Bit quiet too

Hey Florrie. I don't usually look for accolades but I've just crossed the 8,000 edit mark tonite & have no-one to share that news with. Have a look at my game III SoO match report - I'm pretty proud of it, even if no-one ever reads it ! Did you see the game ? How I hate those mongrel Qlders ! Seems to me like a lot of energy has left the project lately. Am I imagining it or have you gone a bit quiet too ? Hope you're okay. -Sticks66 13:32, 4 July 2008 (UTC)

Nice article on Dennis Tutty. He does indeed deserve one being such a pioneer & quite a humble man I gather from an interview I recently saw. I'll see if I can find out anything on his rowing career.
To be honest I'm really over the Info-box saga. So much babble. In the time it's been going on I've just been getting on with putting info-boxes in place for old and deserving players. Generally (and with the odd exception) I think articles for players who are in their rookie years and have achieved little is missing the whole point.
Were you from NSW originally ? Cheers -Sticks66 06:11, 5 July 2008 (UTC)

RE: "Vandalism" at Richard Williams (rugby league):

See User talk:Sarah#Socks of Prester John. Templating an IP which is clearly a Prester John is pointless. Bidgee (talk) 07:53, 12 July 2008 (UTC)

Daine Laurie

(Copied from Londo06's talk page):
I've no idea why you keep attaching this ref to "the Daine train" as there is no mention of it anywhere in the article that I can see and I've read it three times and did a word search to make sure! A "nickname" is a commonly used name - The player's most common nickname. Extensive lists of nicknames can be discussed in the article itself and the author should use their judgement to select the most appropriate entry for this parameter.(.doc) How is fan banner that you saw on tv equate to a common nickname? See WP:OR. Ref it or delete it. Florrieleave a note 17:29, 24 July 2008 (UTC)

I can appreciate your interpretation and point of view and as such I will hold fire were someone else to remove it. Not living in easy commute of ANZ stadium I can't speak for the crowd and as such can't say whether the nickame is in common usage.Londo06 18:02, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
(Copied from Londo06's talk page):
Why does someone else have to remove it? You put in unreferenced material, you can easily remove it. On the other hand, it is recommended that unreferenced material is supposed to be removed aggressively so I'll do it myself. And I don't know what living anywhere near ANZ has to do with verifiable and reliable sources - I live on the opposite side of the country but I can recognise original research when I see it. Wow, when I put someone else, I meant not me.Londo06 10:17, 25 July 2008 (UTC)

About WP:RL

(Copied from RekishiEJ's talk page):
Could you please direct me to the discussion regarding the removal of WP:RL as a shortcut for Wikipedia:WikiProject Rugby league? [1] Florrieleave a note 07:40, 25 July 2008 (UTC)

I change this redirect page to link to Wikipedia:Requested lists because I think since WP:RA redirects to Wikipedia:Requested articles, and WP:VA redirects to Wikipedia:Vital articles instead of Wikipedia:Wikiproject Visual arts or Wikipedia:Wikiproject Virginia , WP:RL should redirect to maintenance page which is more widely used instead of a Wikiproject (I think). --RekishiEJ (talk) 21:09, 25 July 2008 (UTC)
(Copied from RekishiEJ's talk page):
Hi Rekishi - thanks for the reply. I'm all for jumping in but in this sort of situation where the shortcut/re-direct is well-used by an active project, it'd have been more appropriate to bring the suggestion up on the project talk page. There's also WP:RfD but I doubt they'd look at it unless discussion had already been attempted. (see Changing shortcuts) Cheers. Florrieleave a note 03:16, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
