Re [1]

[edit]

If there are no legitimate edits to a page after an instance of vandalism, one can select the history tab on the page, select the last good version of the page prior to the vandalism, then edit and save this old version of the page without modifying it. The page will be reverted to the version you selected. A request for an administrator to block a vandal can be made on Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. Before vandals can be blocked, however, they must ordinarily be warned using appropriate templates. These templates, and additional information about countervandalism efforts, are described on Wikipedia:Vandalism. Thank you for reverting vandalism on Wikipedia. Historiador Fco Javier Alegre sobre el Nauh (4) en Cofre de Perote

[edit]

Hola Fluence.

Saludos.--Wkboonec (talk) 21:04, 22 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Keane cover of Early Winter

[edit]

It's a well known fact that Keane has covered Gwen Stefani's Early Winter. But now i feel that they have released it as a single. Though this site is a blog site, but it has the single cover. see [2]. Can you look into the matter. As i am on a wikibreak, i didn't investigate much into the matter. If it is a single, that we can make a section in the Early Winter article. Thank You. Indianescence (talk) 11:45, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think you are right. Even i have faced many fan-made covers. I looks like another example of it. I feel mentioning about their one - time cover would be enough. Thank you so much for your reply. Indianescence (talk) 10:14, 30 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Alpura (company)

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Alpura (company) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. ukexpat (talk) 17:10, 17 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your message on my talk page. First, a little civility goes a long way. This is not a competition and there is no need to rant/explode/vent on other editors' talk pages. Second, yes, I nominated the article for deletion. It was reviewed by an admin and it was not deleted. It does however have quite a few issues that need to be resolved and the article has been tagged accordingly. Hope this helps.  – ukexpat (talk) 18:01, 17 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
What exactly do you need help with? If you can be a little more precise, maybe I can point you in the right direction. – ukexpat (talk) 18:30, 17 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I have had a quick nose around on Media, have you looked here: mw:Project:Help? Do the MediaWiki automatic language-variants translation tabs have their own page anywhere? – ukexpat (talk) 21:56, 17 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. If none of links on that page work, one of the tech-savvy folks over at the technical section of the Village Pump may be able to help. – ukexpat (talk) 22:04, 17 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Fluence

[edit]

Since I have reverted several of your edits today I wrte here to offer you an explanation, so that you will know that I am acting out of some sort of personal vendetta. Your edits to list of Nahuan languages was a variation of the discussion we already had once. You seem to believe that the Nahuatl spoken today is almost identical to Classical Nahuatl. This is a widely held belief - but it is not correct. The difference is that classical Nahuatl and Milpa alta nahuatl are 250 years removed in time. Milpa Alta is a central dialect like Clasical was - but so are many other dialects - e.g. the dialects of Morelos, Tlaxcala, Mexico State and South western Puebla, and the other dialects of the federal district (santa ana tlacotenco, and texcoco). This means that it makes no sense to say that classical nahuatl has speakers today, and it also means that it is incorrect to say that Central Nahuatl is only spoken in the DF or that Milpa Alta is a varint of Classical Nahuatl. Classical Nahuatl is solely the literary language of the 16th and 17th centuries and all the modern languages are descended from earlier colonial and precolumbian dialects that were not identical to what we call classical nahuatl. Your edits to orizaba and orizaba nahuatl introduced a pronunciation description transcribed in a system that looked like IPA - but which included non-IPA characters and incorrectly used IPA characters. I removed both of these. The correct IPA transcription of āhuilizāpan is [aːwilisaːpan] with no accents or superscript characters. I want you to know that your interest in improving the coverance of the Nahuatl language topics here at wikipedia is greatly appreciated - but it would be helpful for you and for us if you got your hands on some better sources about Nahuatl, if you want me to I can point you towards some. And if you want to provide phonetic transcriptions of Nahuatl words you should start by becoming familiar with the IPA and with Nahuatl phonetics. Again thank you for your contributions and sorry for having to revert them, I meant no offense to you, but am acting purely in the interest of providing a factual coverance of the Nahuatl language.By the way if you have questions or concerns about material in the articles about Nahuatl I reccommend asking either User:Lavintzin who is a linguist with more than 20 years of experience working with Nahuatl and hundreds of proffesional publications about the language (he presently work with Nahuatl of southern Puebla) and User: A R King who is a linguist who has worked proffesionally with Pipil Nawat of El Salvador, also User:Ptcamn has high level expertise in the language, and then of course there is my humble self who will also do my best to adress any concerns you might have. ·Maunus·ƛ· 20:25, 21 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Suspected vandalism

[edit]
This help request has been answered. If you need more help, please place a new {{help me}} request on this page followed by your questions, or contact the responding user(s) directly on their user talk page.

Good day. I've come across an anonymous user who keeps making senseless or false edits to mostly Germany/Mexico/Chile-related articles (such as German carmakers, Mexican cities, etc.), and others. However, I am not sure if we should consider this as vandalism; while some edits are serious figures alteration (ex.: [3] [4]) and some others offer utterly wrong information (ex.: [5]), there are also good-faith edits (ex.: [6] [7]). Thus, it might as well be a shared IP adress. This IP address has been warned twice to stop making such wrong edits, first in July 2010, and then in September. Must this user be blocked? We are talking about at least 150 edits, and not knowing which of them are correct. Please forward this to whom it may concern. Regards :) --Fluence (talk) 21:23, 8 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I would keep and eye on the user. If there is clear vandalism warn the user after four warnings take it to WP:AIV. If it seems like a high level of incompetence you might want to consider taking it to WP:AN/I. Inka888 21:59, 8 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much for sharing your method for learning foreign languages. At first I was skeptic this would really be affective, however I can now understand much of what my friends say in German. You have impacted my life in a good way even if we have never met and for this I thank you. I hope to learn many other languages as well because of you. You are a wonderful person and I wish you luck in the future.

Non-free rationale for File:RReinastella.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:RReinastella.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:KeaneMexico.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:KeaneMexico.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 07:49, 24 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The Way I Feel (song) moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, The Way I Feel (song), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Your draft article, Draft:The Way I Feel (song)

[edit]

Hello, Fluence. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "The Way I Feel".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! JMHamo (talk) 10:56, 9 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

SHP Mapa Metro CDMX

[edit]
