Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Forchheim do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Dori ❦ (Talk ❖ Contribs ❖ Review) ❦ 20:48, 1 July 2009 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Turnshoe. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by some search engines, including Google. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you.
Per WP:EL#ADV:
In line with Wikipedia policies, you should avoid linking to a site that you own, maintain, or represent—even if WP guidelines seem to imply that it may otherwise be linked. When in doubt, you may go to the talk page and let another editor decide. This suggestion is in line with WP's conflict-of-interest guidelines.

- Ok, I didn't know that - and I don't understand the motivation for this guideline. In my opinion, wikipedia should not be an ivory tower without connection to the rest of the internet. I provide a lot of information for free on my page - and I'm not willing to put all that into wikipedia as it would be too much work. Therefore I set some links, so that a user searching for turnshoe will find more infos than just a stub... Foracheim (talk) 08:22, 3 July 2009 (UTC)
- The theory is that if the website is that amazing, someone else who is unaffiliated will add it. In this particular case, given that your site's primary language isn't English, I don't think that it qualifies. Dori ❦ (Talk ❖ Contribs ❖ Review) ❦ 22:43, 3 July 2009 (UTC)
Your account will be renamed
[edit]Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Foracheim. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Foracheim~enwiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name. If you think you might own all of the accounts with this name and this message is in error, please visit Special:MergeAccount to check and attach all of your accounts to prevent them from being renamed.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
