A disclination is both a specific type of defect from a chemistry standpoint, but it is also used more generally in a geometry sense of rotational symmetry violation. I'm not exactly sure what categories to put it in or how to address the two views. Furmanj (talk) 20:30, 10 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If they are distinct concepts and you feel you can write articles about each, I'd suggest you split this into two articles, one named Disclination (chemistry) and one named Disclination (geometry).
