Trout and chips!

Whack!
You've been whacked with a wet trout.

Don't take this too seriously. Someone just wants to let you know you did something silly.

Follow me to join the secret cabal!

Crunch, crunch!

Here are some chips to go with your fish!

Hey, just letting you know that I'm undoing the redirects for the Fear Itself episodes. It looks like there was a ton of coverage available via reviews and such, so there was no need to redirect the articles - with stuff like this it's better to just let an applicable WikiProject know so that they/we can clean them up. That said, I know that the amount of people who will clean up articles is relatively small so no actual harm done. I mostly just wanted to do something silly and trout someone since this week (in the US) will be too serious as it is (and for good reason!). Kimihiro Watanuki

After expanding the artice and having copyedited, I nominated Kimihiro Watanuki to GA. If possible would you review it? Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 22:12, 14 November 2020 (UTC)

Sorry, Tintor2. I'm a little busy in real life. Right now, I'm doing only minor and sporadic edits here. But it seems you did a nice work and I appreciate the consideration. Gabriel Yuji (talk) 16:47, 15 November 2020 (UTC)

X

After expanding the other articles related to the main series, I tried expanding more aspects from the article X (manga). I have no idea what it needs to be a B so I asked for a peer review I wonder if certain aspects from the older revision are not needed. Anyway, I'll be taking a break next week so I won't be too active for two weeks. I tried reraranging the reception like you usually do but you did it better with Devilman Crybaby (also I kept finding more reception for the original Devilman if you are interested). Cheers,Tintor2 (talk) 23:46, 10 January 2021 (UTC)

Tintor2, great job with X and X-related articles. Yes, I'm interesed in reception for Devilman. Gabriel Yuji (talk) 02:02, 11 January 2021 (UTC)
Added more. The site manga news has a review for every Devilman volume and it's quite easy to translate to English with Google translate. Also, curious how Clamp said that Devilman was a big influence on X and I kinda find Kotori's death in the manga identical to Miki's especially with the main characters holding their heads in shock. Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 12:31, 11 January 2021 (UTC)
By the way, I haven't read Berserk in a long time but I wonder if Guts could have an article based on his popularity. If you aim for that too, I'll try researching sources. The French site Manga News tends to review almost every single volume of a manga so I guess at least there is reception about Guts. Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 21:13, 12 January 2021 (UTC)
I haven't read it for a long time too, Tintor2. I was just passing by and thinking I could start reading it again. And certainly Guts and Griffith are popular enough to have their own articles (and maybe Casca too). Theare plenty of interviews with Miura ([1]) so it should not be so difficult to do. But I'm not that motivated right now to do it. Probably an article on Ryo Asuka would be more interesting to me. Anyway, I'm a bit lazy lately and I'm coming here in Wikipedia just for minor edits... but who knows. Maybe other Shingeki no Kyojin characters deserve an article too, especially Mikasa and Levi. I'm waiting for the new Shaman King anime, which can bring new content for its characters articles. It's also a surprise that none of HunterxHunter main characters have articles (especially Gon, Killua and Kurapika) nor One Piece characters like Usopp, Sanji and Robin (but I'm not really a fan of none of these and haven't seem them entirely). I'd be more interested in Ryo, Griffith, Mikasa, Kurapika and Sanji, btw. Gabriel Yuji (talk) 21:37, 12 January 2021 (UTC)
Yeah, sometimes creating articles for main characters is easier cos they are the center of attention. That's how I ended giving articles to the leads of Bungo Stray Dogs, Subaru from Re:zero, Jotaro Kujo, among others.Tintor2 (talk) 21:45, 12 January 2021 (UTC)
A fellow copyeditor revised the entire X main article. I don't plan to nominate next week since it's kinda long and I'll be on holidays. Could you give it a revision and tag something about it in case you had the time. Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 21:29, 13 January 2021 (UTC)

No pressure, it's just been lingering in the queue for about a month now, so I'm trying to move the nomination along as best I can. Thanks! Morgan695 (talk) 18:05, 5 February 2021 (UTC)

Akito the Exiled

Last week I created Code Geass: Akito the Exiled. I don't know too much about OVAs articles but where should the plot prose go? To its own section or to the episode list section? Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 01:34, 20 September 2021 (UTC)

I don't know either, Tintor2. But I think it's a question of logic, but maybe just of preference. Devilman Crybaby, for example, or C (TV series) are the closer I worked on a OVA; I've preferred to summarize the plot as an entire narrative instead of describing each episode. Since Akito is only five-episode lenght it should be easy to summarize it on prose. Gabriel Yuji (talk) 01:41, 20 September 2021 (UTC)

1937 Brazilian coup d'état

Hi! A few hours ago you passed my GAN (1937 Brazilian coup d'état). I am planning to, in the future, nominate the article to be an FA. Since you reviewed it for GA, what do you think of it so far in terms of being a potential Featured Article? Thanks and have a great night! FredModulars (talk) 00:32, 22 September 2021 (UTC)

Hi, FredModulars. I'd say it's pretty good, but probably you should require a copyedit first. My only concern with the content is the part of "Trends and developments" that could be more developed. Other than that I think it's excellent. Gabriel Yuji (talk) 01:01, 22 September 2021 (UTC)
I was thinking the same thing with copyediting. Thank you for your insight! FredModulars (talk) 01:07, 22 September 2021 (UTC)

About the nihongo template

Hi Gabriel. About the lead removal in the Akagi article, as I've seen in other articles where the title is written as exactly as it's pronounced in Japanese, I don't think it needs lead, since there is no need for the rōmaji parameter, but I may be wrong. Cheers. - Xexerss (talk) 14:24, 15 January 2022 (UTC)

Makes sense, Xexerss. Self-reverted it. Gabriel Yuji (talk) 14:55, 15 January 2022 (UTC)

just curious

[2] Hi, Gabriel Yuji. Care to explain why I am wrong with the "award qualifying procedure"? That is, what do you actually mean. As I have explicitly avoided to use it as an argument for how the article should be written vis-à-vis the lead, I suspect you are suggesting I am wrong not on how I use the argument (because that cannot be the case: I have explicitly said that we don't rely on any award for anything) but on the assertion that only partially Spanish-produced films could qualify for a Goya for Best Film (or Forqué). Is that so? You are suggesting that it is not the case?--Asqueladd (talk) 03:07, 25 January 2022 (UTC)

Hm, I'm impressed that you took it so serious, Asqueladd. I even didn't remeber that commentary. Now, reading carefully, you're right about the "If the film were not considered partially "Spanish-produced" by those awards the film would not qualify for any non-Americas-specific category". I understood that they should be Spanish-produced to qualify for Americas-specific category (which would be contraditory and, hm, the opposite that you said). Long time no see

Long time no see. Congrats with Wild Tales. It's a movie from my country so it's pretty cool. Seeing how Damnation kinda went bad, I now aim to focus The Case Study of Vanitas and nominate it in the future. Feel free to add or remove anything. I also removed the sources you mentioned in Thorfinn. I have seen sources for other characters from Vinland Saga, most notably Askeladd who even was awarded best character in 2019 by ANN. Still, I'm not sure about creating another article for now. Maybe a list for the rest would be okay.Tintor2 (talk) 00:27, 26 August 2022 (UTC)

Hi, Tintor2, it's been a long time indeed. Thanks. I always take a look at your work, so I've already noticed it hehe. It seems very good; I'll give it a read anytime. Gabriel Yuji (talk) 17:18, 26 August 2022 (UTC)
