Uncertainty Principle
[edit]I've deleted the Humor subsection. Usually, if within a month or so after proposing a potentially contentious change on the talk page no-one has objected, you should feel free to effectuate that change. --LambiamTalk 06:01, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
Hi. I've reverted you recent edits, you erased whole sections and added nothing, please refrain from doing so in the future. Specifically if you consider this your "project". thank you. --Procrastinating@talk2me 18:26, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
- I can't give you a more detailed outlook unless you use the edit summary box and puit your text back section by section (as in everyother wiki article). I'd hate to re-revert everything.
- let us continue our in the talk page of the article. --Procrastinating@talk2me 10:49, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
RFA
[edit]I noticed you created the page Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/gagueci. I'm not sure if you know this or not, but you need to transpose the RFA once you are done preparing it. If it is ready to go live, I can do this for you if you don't know how. New England Review Me! 19:21, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
- Hi Gagueci,
- I don't know how open you are to out-of-the-blue advice from people you've never heard of, and not even an admin at that, and to make matter worse, someone who's been around here a shorter time than you. But I noticed your new RfA, and I thought I'd give you my take, for what it's worth:
- With 200 edits, and no experience in the Wikipedia space, i really don't think you're going to pass. Different editors have different criteria, but usually you'll need a few thousand edits to have a chance.
- Most people are nice in RfA's like this, but a few can be a little brusque. Keep in mind people are commenting on your qualifications as an admin, not your qualifications as an editor. Take any comments as what they're intended: constructive criticism.
- You might consider withdrawing the RfA for now, and looking into WP:Editor review.
- You might want to look at a few recent successful and unsuccessful RfA's, which you can find links to from the main WP:RFA page, to see what kind of experience is expected.
- For what it's worth. Good luck, --barneca (talk) 03:27, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
- (cross post of my response to your comment on my talk page) Sorry it turned out that way, and glad you're letting it roll right off your back. Longer term, I think slow, careful, thoughtful editors like you make excellent admins. I look forward to seeing WP:RfA/Gagueci 2 in the future.
- One point: I saw your "ouch" at New England's talk page. While I'm hoping you're referring, jocularly, to the responses to your RfA, I see now, in the light of day, that my comment last night right above yours could be seen as patronizing. That wasn't my intention, and if that's what "ouch" referred to, I'm sorry for that. --barneca (talk) 19:38, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
Your recent RfA
[edit]I'm sorry, but I've closed your Request for adminship prematurely. Simply put, you've only got 200 edits on Wikipedia; while edit count isn't the only determining factor, and numerous people have their own personal standards that they judge RfA candidates by, there was no chance that the RfA was going to pass.
I'm sorry about this, and hope you don't take it personally. If you continue to contribute to the project in a positive fashion, I'm confident that you could possibly run a successful RfA in the future. You may want to consider submitting yourself to Wikipedia:Editor review for feedback on where to get some good experience, and when you're ready for RfA again, there's a great Wikipedia:Admin coaching program for you to use, as well as a guide to requests for adminship.
If you have any other questions about becoming an administrator, please don't hesitate to ask me. Good luck! WjBscribe 04:01, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
A dedicated wiki site for Archie's Sonic the Hedgehog universe
[edit]Hello there,
I notice you have contributed to numerous articles pertaining to the Archie's Sonic the Hedgehog universe here on Wikipedia. I'm am currently trying to create a wiki site dedicated to this fictional universe, and would like to know if you're interested in assisting me in creating quality articles on the site. I have worked on many Archie-Sonic related articles here myself, and I would be happy to have you assist me in this wiki project. Before we can begin however, I need to wait for the wiki to be approved on the wikia site, and I would greatly appreciate it if you left a support comment on the talk page if you are interested in helping with this collaborative project.
I just found out you need to register with wikia to leave a comment on the request page, or the page won't work. If you don't mind, could you go to the main page, here: [1] Register, and leave a support comment on the page? Once you register, here's the request page again to go to: [2] Whatever username you use to register with wikia will be the one you use on the Archie Sonic wiki once its up and running, since it is created through the wikia site.
Thanks for your time. - Matticus333 02:04, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for your help. The website is now open and you may begin creating articles and making edits to current ones! For the page to appear properly, you need to register an account with wikia. The URL address for the site http://archiesonic.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page. Rest assured the site is still in its infancy and so the layout, colour schemes etc. will be undergoing changes in the near future. Hope to see you there! - Matticus333 00:49, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
