Adoption

[edit]

Hello, thak you very much for your message. I was just wondering how I would go about being adopted by a more experienced user. I am very interested in helping Wikipedia greatly in its development and integrity.

I'd be grateful for any response and/or advise.

Hmmm. If you go to Wikipedia:Adopt-a-User there's information there. However - if you'd like me to give you some pointers, and to answer your questions, I would be willing to do that. SilkTork *YES! 19:06, 25 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Projects

[edit]

A good way to get involved is to join a WikiProject. Projects are made up of individual editors and do vary in quality - but the better ones are very useful in giving guidance on how to edit articles in your area of interest. I note you like sports, so it would be worth having a look at Wikipedia:WikiProject Sports. There are also Projects for individual sports: Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Directory/Culture/Sports - so you could join a few of those. Wikipedia:WikiProject Football for example, which has guidelines on how to write articles on club teams, players, competitions, etc. Take a look. SilkTork *YES! 19:15, 25 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not change their stats to the same as soccerbase.com it is incorrect. I have emailed them to repair their database but they didn't respond. Govvy (talk) 22:20, 8 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Told you before about Jenas right here! You still edited it wrong, so I reverted, sorry. Govvy (talk) 21:12, 15 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Statistics

[edit]

I have reverted your changes to Tottenham Hotspur F.C. season 2009–10 Please wait till after football games have finished before updating statistics. This goes the same for player pages also. Govvy (talk) 14:07, 26 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
