 | If you want to leave me a message, feel free to do so, but please be aware that I’m not getting any notification bar anymore – but just a white number in a little red box on top which you don’t notice very much when it changes from 0 to 1. This fact is due to the change in the notification system in the beginning of May, so I may see your message accidentally or at any time, when I’m especially looking for it, but not when I don’t especially look for it all the time.
You will maybe reach me better at my Wikidata talk page or at my Translatewiki talk page (where I’m not so often around); there the orange notification bar wasn’t taken away up to now, so messages can be seen at once there. I’m really hoping that won’t also be changed there in the future. If you also want any user to be able to see new messages again like before, then think about signing the petition to the WMF on handling of interface changes or take part at this discussion about the old visible notification bar or at this talk about obtrusive JavaScript (which is the case here). Or perhaps you may want to take part in Wikipedia:WikiProject Accessibility to make things better here. Thank you for reading and understanding. --Geitost 12:12, 19 May 2013 (UTC) |
