Hello. Please don't forget to provide an edit summary. Thanks, and happy editing.

But Worcester Park IS in Surrey

[edit]

The boundary between London and Surrey runs through Worcester Park, something that is abundantly clear from public documents.. What was your rationale for removing it form Wikiproject Surrey, please? Fiddle Faddle (talk) 18:31, 3 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thankyou for your vigilance. I have been altering many WPSurrey banners (chiefly altering class and importance) in order to help define the scope of Wikiproject Surrey. It is inevitable that in these many edits I will make some decisions that require more thought and discussion, and I hope that you will bear with me. My rationale was based on the article itself, which states that Worcester Park post town does indeed include parts of Surrey but Worcester Park ward is entirely within Greater London. If this is reason to include the article in Wikiprokect Surrey then perhaps we should include Aldershot as well? If, however, the situation is more complicated then it would be very useful to have sources quoted in the article. Ginyild (talk) 18:58, 3 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The sources for Worcester Park are the boundary maps. I haven't checked whether they are in the article or not, but they are not only meeting WP:RS but also definitive. Worcester Park as an article suffered in the past from almost edit wars over the London/Surrey elements. Pointless, naturally. A substantial part is in the Borough of Epsom and Ewell, demonstrably Surrey. Fiddle Faddle (talk) 21:29, 3 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi I noticed you have been quite active recently with regards to WP:SURREY, so I would like to enlist your help. I am reactivating the project and have rewritten a number of the pages, and done an overall restyle. I am also looking at defining some general standards for importance, and also general guidelines with regards to what should ideally be present in different types of articles to be located here Wikipedia:WikiProject_Surrey/Article_guidelines. I think the guidelines for importance you posted on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Surrey for importance are good, so I will whack these into WP:SURREY/A, and any other input you could give to the project would be fantastic. If you have any questions, reply here, I am watching :) Thanks, GlanisTalk 17:16, 10 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia:Wikiproject Surrey

[edit]

Hi,

I've refounded Wikipedia:Wikiproject Surrey and I saw you were a member of Wikipedia:Wikiproject Surrey. I was wondering, as you are a on the Participants List weather on not you would like to help improve more Surrey articles and make Wikipedia:Wikiproject Surrey and active Wikiproject again.

I hope you will come and help make Wikipedia: Wikiproject Surrey an active Wikiproject again.

Thanks, pbl1998--Pbl1998 (talk) 14:16, 7 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
