Duplicate images uploaded

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Kit body glos.png. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Glos.png. The copy called Image:Glos.png has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 11:17, 18 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Battle of Brentford

[edit]

Wikipedia managed a goocha on your creation of Battle of Brentford (1642) because there was a white space character in the name. The article Battle of Brentford (1642) with an ordinary space already existed. It seems that half the articles linked to your version and the others to the older one. I have now merged the two articles so if you look at the history of the article you will see the older versions before your new one. Regards Philip Baird Shearer 10:50, 22 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ah! found it in the template Template:Campaignbox First English Civil War the name was constructed using & n b s p; which although it looks like an ordinary space does not seem to be the same as far as page names go. --Philip Baird Shearer 10:59, 22 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Calcuttacup.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Calcuttacup.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
