Please use Articles for Creation when you submit your drafts

Dear Goodarz Irani, I just wanted to ask you if you could please use the Articles for Creation process when you feel that you are finished with a draft, instead of moving it straight to mainspace? Korban (Tribes) is an article about a topic that appears to be notable, but unfortunately it is very difficult to understand for an English speaker. Writing encyclopedia articles in a foreign language is extremely challenging, and that is one reason the Articles for Creation project exists. Another issue with that article is that although there is one source, there are no footnotes showing which parts of the article text are supported by that source – there really needs to be more sources, as well.

The rich culture of Iran is a subject that is under-represented in English Wikipedia, compared with many other topics. It is great to have knowledgeable contributors like yourself who want to help with that situation. But if the articles you create cannot be understood by English speakers, the situation isn't really fixed, so I urge you to collaborate with other editors to make sure that the articles you contribute to become helpful to our readers. Adding to the above: <ref></ref> tags are used in Wikipedia to add citations. They are not used for general footnotes. Wikipedia articles are different from how some types of academic texts are written, in that there are usually no footnotes with additional information or comments on the text. When the footnote information is also unsourced, it becomes extra problematic. Please do not add any such notes again. Bonadea, that's incorrect: {{ref}} tags are used to add explanatory notes. See Help:Explanatory notes. However, it is important to use the group parameter on the {{ref}} tag ("WP:REFGROUP is of particular importance.") when creating notes that aren't citations, and displaying them in a section (for example, "Notes") separate from the citations ("References"). @Largoplazo: Apologies for being unclear, but this user is having so much trouble understanding and communicating in English that I took the liberty of over-simplifying the case. The user was edit warring to add ref tags enclosing unsourced information and what appears to be personal observations, of the kind that an academic text with one named author can include but not a Wikipedia article. I do not see how it is helpful to suggest that such edits (e.g. this) could be acceptable, as they are clearly not. Wikipedia needs users with specialist knowledge, but they also have to be prepared to collaborate and provide sources – which is the crux of the matter, the sources just are not forthcoming. --bonadea contributions talk 12:44, 5 April 2020 (UTC)

As far as I can tell, most of what this contributor writes are personal observations, so as far as that goes there's no reason to confine your observation to what he's putting between <ref> tags. The bulk of it is his own recapitulation of what's to be found in epic Persian literature, where the only source he gives is the literature itself, amounting to a monumental case of WP:OR and WP:PLOTBLOAT, and possibly huge WP:N violations because I don't know that every character he writes about is independently notable.
