ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!

Hello, GreekParadise. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

Introduction to contentious topics

Zero, my edits are reflected in the cited sources. Respectfully, yours are not. If you have a specific claim that anything I wrote was inaccurate, what is it?

Do you deny any of the following?

1) The West Bank Arab leaders at the Jericho Conference were specifically invited by King Abdullah;

2) The Arab League never recognized Jordan's annexation of the West Bank (and in fact condemned it strongly;

3) The USA never recognized the Jordanian annexation; and

4) There was well documented discrimination against West Bank Palestinians in Jordan.

If you agree these are well-documented facts, let's reflect them accurately in the article. Your edits claim or suggest all four of these facts are not true.GreekParadise (talk) 18:05, 19 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Furthermore, you have made many other changes without citing sources. Please cite sources for your claims. For example you claim that King Abdullah commanded the armies of all seven Arab nations that invaded Israel in 1948. I'd like to see your source for that. He commanded the Arab Legion (the TransJordanian forces).

I'm an occasional Wikipedia editor. I always carefully verify sources before adding them, but I'm well aware that other Wikipedians are far more adept at converting Bare URLs to their proper format than I am. When I've done it in the past, I've often not gotten the formula exactly right. I apologize for leaving it to more adept editors to fix. But the sources are absolutely accurate.GreekParadise (talk)

A REVERT is not the same as a CHANGE. I did not revert more than once in any 24-hour period. I did make several changes in response to info on the talk page. Where did I ever revert to the same language? I didn't.

Working through compromise language by posting different formulations and then accepting another editor's post is not a violation of 1RR. Reminder to administrators: In May 2014, ArbCom adopted the following procedure instructing administrators regarding Arbitration Enforcement blocks: "No administrator may modify a sanction placed by another administrator without: (1) the explicit prior affirmative consent of the enforcing administrator; or (2) prior affirmative agreement for the modification at (a) AE or (b) AN or (c) ARCA (see "Important notes" [in the procedure]). Administrators modifying sanctions out of process may at the discretion of the committee be desysopped."
