Welcome!

Hello, Harshhussey, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your edits to the page Graham Ford have not conformed to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and may be removed if they have not yet been. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media. Always remember to provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles. As well, all new biographies of living people must contain at least one reliable source.

If you are stuck and looking for help, please see the guide for citing sources or come to the new contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or you can type {{helpme}} on your user page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!

Information icon Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Graham Ford. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. Dl2000 (talk) 04:34, 17 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did to AB de Villiers, without verifying it by citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Tne rules about what is allowed in articles about living people are particularly strict. Rather get some experience with articles that don't involve living people. Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Ashok Menaria may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "{}"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 05:22, 29 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Harshhussey. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Obaid Haroon, for deletion because it's a biography of a living person that lacks references. If you don't want Obaid Haroon to be deleted, please add a reference to the article.

If you don't understand this message, you can leave a note on my talk page.

Your contributed article, Sam hana

[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Sam hana. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – List_of_NCIS:_Los_Angeles_characters#Sam_Hanna. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at List_of_NCIS:_Los_Angeles_characters#Sam_Hanna – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. RA0808 talkcontribs 05:15, 18 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Seebarn Cricket Centre, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.viennacricketclub.at/history.php.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) Speedy deletion nomination of Seebarn Cricket Centre

[edit]

Hello Harshhussey,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Seebarn Cricket Centre for deletion, because it seems to be copied from another source.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to rewrite it in your own words, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Vanjagenije (talk) 17:32, 28 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

May 2014 disambig contest: let's do it again!

[edit]

Greetings fellow disambiguator! Remember back in February when we made history by clearing the board for the first time ever, for the monthly disambiguation contest? Let's do it again in May! I personally will be aiming to lead the board next month, but for anyone who thinks they can put in a better effort, I will give a $10 Amazon gift card to any editor who scores more disambiguation points in May. Also, I will be setting up a one-day contest later in the month, and will try to set up more prizes and other ways to make this a fun and productive month. Cheers! bd2412 T 18:48, 28 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sockpuppet investigation

[edit]

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Harshhussey, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

Established articles as stubs??

[edit]

You have been adding items to Australian articles about cricket ovals that makes them out to be stubs. They are not. Why are you doing this? satusuro 06:56, 22 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

ignoring messages and continuing to add incorrect items on articles could see you attracting unwanted attention as to your edits. Full articles with plenty of text are not stubs satusuro 09:24, 22 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for adding incorrect articles. I just wanted to all cricket stadiums only but I think added some wrong incorrect articles.
You are still a new editor - learn to WP:SIGN and read the articles first - you have put stub tags on complete articles that are way beyond stub status - do not be suprised if a lot of your adding gets reverted. Take more care, go slower and read the article before tagging it. As for apologies, try hardeer to understand what you are doing, and its ramifications. satusuro 09:34, 22 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for help. From next time i will read then edit. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Harshhussey (talkcontribs) 15:33, 22 August 2014
I see that despite your response to SatuSuro above, you have resumed this behaviour, please only add a stub tag to an article if it meets the criteria shown at Wikipedia:Stub and the WikiProject banners on the talk page do not show it as Start-class, C-class etc. --Redrose64 (talk) 10:57, 26 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Biju Patnaik Indoor Stadium

[edit]

The article Biju Patnaik Indoor Stadium has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unremarkable building

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Liz Read! Minor tours can be notable, per the season overview on the 2015 article, for example. These are tours between sides that don't have Test status, but will play at least one ODI or T20I match. List A matches are usually part of existing tours, and not articles in their own right. Case and point being the Nepal/Scotland games, which form part of the 2015–17 ICC World Cricket League Championship. I'd imagine all cricket grounds would pass WP:GNG in some form or another. • The way you tried to "solve" this problem here is not really helpful. The point of links is to assist readers in finding relevant information about something mentioned in an article. Having an article about a cricket team link to a disambiguation page that does not even mention a cricketer cannot possibly be helpful to the reader. It is better to leave a red link so that the link will become useful if, at some point in the future, someone writes an article about the cricketer. --R'n'B (call me Russ) 15:10, 18 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Jadavpur University Campus 2nd Ground

[edit]

The article Jadavpur University Campus 2nd Ground has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable sports ground. No evidence of in depth coverage in independent reliable sources.

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Nandan Van Zoo & Safari, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://nayaraipur.in/jungal-safari/.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. Speedy deletion nomination of Nandan Van Zoo & Safari

[edit]

Hello Harshhussey,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Nandan Van Zoo & Safari for deletion, because it seems to be inappropriate for a variety of reasons.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. ubiquity (talk) 20:42, 21 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Naya Raipur Development Authority requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://nayaraipur.in/about/master-plan/nayaraipur-synopsis/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Request reason:

Sorry i did read and copy past material from page of Naya Raipur as this pages was related to it. I am extremely sorry for it.

Decline reason:

While an apology is always good, I don't think that's going to be enough, I'm afraid. I think we need to see hard evidence that you understand the inclusion and copyright violation policies, and you need to spend some time reading WP:COPYVIO, WP:N and WP:V carefully before you can convince us your editing will stop being disruptive. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 16:42, 24 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) Can you tell if I copy it current page which was copied from some the site? How is it possible that is not copied one?--HarshhusseyTALK

  • Hi Harshhussey, sad to know that you are blocked. You are otherwise good editor. You create many articles. But you should check for copyright violations. Do not copy and paste matter from various websites. Try to write it in your words. You can check for possible copyright violation by using this copyvio detector tool. Just type page name and click on submit, it shows copyright violations is likely or unlikely. You are not new editor to copy paste things, you are now experienced editor, actually your account is much older than me. Hope so you understood. Never ever copy paste things. --Human3015TALK  04:09, 22 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Harsh, I don't think that you should argue over this issue with admins, rather you should explain you understood copyright policies very well. You can take couple of days to read mentioned pages by admin above and you should explain that you understood it and you will avoid any kind of copy-paste, close paraphrasing, plagiarism etc. Read all of these. Just now you 'copied' my signature colours, its ok for signature, but don't do it in article. And please do not argue more, just accept that you understood all policies and avoid such things in future. I am saying all this because I think you can be a better editor, I have also given you Barnstar in past, so kindly read all policies. Thanks --Human3015TALK  14:28, 25 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Sydney Derby (BBL), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Asian 10,000 Challenge invite

[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 02:08, 20 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

In 2017 – 2018, the Wikimedia Foundation and Google working in close coordination with the Centre for Internet and Society (CIS), Wikimedia India Chapter (WMIN) and user groups from India, are piloting a program encouraging Wikipedia communities to create locally relevant and high-quality content in Indian languages. This program will (a) support active and experienced Wikipedia editors through the donation of laptops and stipends for internet access and (b) sponsor a language-based contest that aims to address existing Wikipedia content gaps.

Phase (a) has been completed, during which active contributors were awarded laptops and internet stipends. Phase (b) will be a contest in which editors will come together and develop a writing contest focused on content gaps. Each month three individual prizes will be awarded to each community based on their contribution for the month. The prizes worth 3,000 INR, 2000 INR, and 1,000 INR, will be awarded to the top contributors for each month. The contest started at March 1, 2018, 0:00, and will end at May 31, 2018, 23:59 (IST). A tag has been placed on Category:Defunct cricket venues in the Netherlands requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Liz Read!
