The article Cummins UK has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- You do not appear to have established that this division of a company is notable - ie that it has achieved substantial coverage in third party sources. If you have information on reviews of the company (not reviews in the trade press that are written by the company press officer) then adding them to the article will make it (a) better and (b) less likely to be deleted
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Elen of the Roads (talk) 14:30, 5 July 2010 (UTC)

[edit]This is, I presume, you. Please read WP:COI. You clearly have a conflict of interest here, and you don't seem to have grasped the fact that this is an encyclopedia. If you've ever read, for instance, the Britannica, you should be aware that the article you've written isn't encyclopedic. "Many people are surprised " isn't what you'd expect in an encyclopedia, is it? And we expect articles to be backed by reliable sources - see WP:RS. The biz.Yahoo site is not a reliable source and for all I know you contributed the information there. Dougweller (talk) 15:51, 5 July 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from Cummins UK. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Please do not delete -
[edit]Hi, Please do not delete this page. I am on holiday for the next two weeks and will be looing at external referencing of Cummins UK when i get back. Thank you for all your feedback re the site. Regards, Harvy Moore Harvymoore (talk) 15:12, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
- Harvey, if I get the time, I'm going to merge this article with the main Cummins article, which is also being tagged for various defects. Only some of the material in this article relates to Cummins UK which, as you say, does not actually manufacture diesel engines. If I do it, I will redirect this article to Cummins, so anyone searching for Cummins UK will find the information. This should give you the opportunity to add more info on both Cummins UK and Cummins, and should result in a better article.--Elen of the Roads (talk) 15:47, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
