Hello, Hhl editor. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Andreas Pinkwart, for deletion because it's a biography of a living person that lacks references. If you don't want Andreas Pinkwart to be deleted, please add a reference to the article.

If you don't understand this message, you can leave a note on my talk page.

Thanks, MrScorch6200 (talk | ctrb) 15:24, 21 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Advice

[edit]

As reviewing administrator, I added some basic source to the article on Pinwart, and removed the deletion tag. I also did some rewriting so it was not a copyright violation from your institutions website, and made a link to the very extensive article in the German Wikipedia. rewrote the partthat was copied from your institutions website.

We do not use material previously published, even from the subject's own website, without explicit copyright permission. There are two ways to do it: one, place an appropriate free license of the webpage itself, and two , send permission for it to be published with a free license--note that such a license gives permission for anyone to reuse it for any purpose. The details are at WP:Donating copyrighted material. Usually, it's easier to rewrite.

The instructions above about username are important--it's one of the peculiarities of the English Wikipedia, but the rule has to be followed. If is also one of our practice to delete all unreferenced biographies of living people (the rule was adopted to prevent hoaxes). Had I not spotted the obvious great importanceof the person and done the work, it would have been deleted. DGG ( talk ) 23:14, 29 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your advice for my created page to "Andreas Pinkwart" and thanks for your help! Hopefully I understand. I already requested a username change. but didn't get an answer yet. Regarding the copyright permission: have I still to do something? I tried to add some categories, but it is really confusing to find the right ones.
