Speedy deletion nomination of Flex watches
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Flex watches requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. - As reviewing administrator I deleted the article. Be very careful about writing an article about a friend's business. See WP:COI. You probably should do it via the WP:AFC process, and you should not do it at all unless you have good 3rd party substantial published references to the company and its products from magazines and newspapers that are more than just press releases. [[User] ( talk ) 05:05, 17 September 2014 (UTC)
I am doing this on behalf of the company. What are "good 3rd party substantial published references"? Is there anything untrue throughout these pages?
response
[edit]I have a considerable tolerance for personal comments addressed to me, even negative ones. But not everyone here does, and they never help.
But I like to give people chances. I suggested how to do it, but if you want to try more directly, you may. I've restored it, and marked it as under construction. This will give you a day or two to finish--after that, you'll have to use AfC. Please make sure you have good sources for notability-- seeWP:CORP for the standards. Remember that what counts are documented accomplishments--noble intentions unfortunately don't count. What is needed are in-depth published independent product review. User reviews should not be included. the website lists "featured in" and give a number of media--these need to be true news stories, not advertisements or press releases or mentions. Good luck with it. DGG ( talk ) 06:07, 17 September 2014 (UTC)
Dude, your the man. Thank you so much! Ya 100% of course sticking to the facts. They've got some cool content/activities so I'll be sure to only focus on that. Do I just go back to the same page?
BTW- You weren't the person I was addressing, sorry for the convolution :)
- yes, just go back to the page. That's why I restored it. DGG ( talk ) 06:18, 17 September 2014 (UTC)
Bo$$!
