Unsourced

[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Canterbury Tail. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Canterbury Tail talk 15:04, 12 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Canterbury Tail talk 12:21, 6 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at Far Cry Primal. -- ferret (talk) 22:51, 17 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked

[edit]

You have been blocked for your continued genre warring and editing both without sources, and directly against the source as you did in this edit. You have been warned and asked to stop previously, but you continue to ignore those warnings. Almost every edit you have made recently has been reverted by one user or another, and yet you continue to alter the genres of articles without providing any sources. If you continue this behaviour after your block has expired, you will be blocked for persistent disruptive edits. Canterbury Tail talk 21:19, 20 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon with clock
You have been blocked temporarily from editing for abuse of editing privileges. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

Genre changes

[edit]

I would like to point out that you are not a WP:Reliable source. It seems that the majority of your edits to Wikipedia have been purely to edit war and perform edits to make genres conform to your view of what the genre should be, and that multiple editors disagree with you. You alter genres against what reliable sources state, and make your own original research and opinions on what they should be. Wikipedia is based on what reliable sources predominately say about things. If you continue this campaign of altering genres, without references and contrary to what reliable sources are stating, then you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. It is starting to seem that you are not suited to editing in a collaborative environment, so please prove me wrong, take any changes you wish to make to genres to the talk pages and provide sources to back them up. However if you continue to alter genres against the sources based on your opinion as to what they should be, you will be blocked. Canterbury Tail talk 16:07, 2 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Sir, Please know that I have read your message. I signed up on Wikipedia not to start publishing wars but to help improve fantasy articles. On the French version, which I originally came from, is pretty catastrophic because users tend to confuse it with SF. It is true that I often tend not to note my sources, which causes all these unfortunate incidents. Everything I write comes from reference sources (often French speaking). In short, you will not have to block me again (and I do not blame you) and I promise to respect my commitments.

Yours truly, HouseTyrell HouseTyrell (talk) 17:20, 2 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Okay. If you are changing something, please ensure to quote the reference. It's not enough that the references exist, you need to use them to show other editors that your changes are legitimate. If you are unsure as to how to use references, see WP:References and that will help you out. Canterbury Tail talk 13:26, 3 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
