Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, one or more of the external links you added to the page Boston Bruins do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Providence Bruins. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. ccwaters (talk) 20:01, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
- Hi, read the policies mention above ...WP:EL, particularly WP:EL#Links_normally_to_be_avoided #11. ccwaters (talk) 21:32, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
- RE what you are missing: Your site is purely a forum, which, as pointed out multiple times before, is frowned upon per WP:EL. The Sabres site you mention is an almanac of useful sabres information beyond the scope of the Buffalo Sabres article (ex: season by season rosters) . Let's not find other examples: I'm sure there are other sites that should be deleted per the same policy: they just haven't been noticed yet. I scan the externally links in all the NHL team articles on occasion, but its has been a while. Bad links do sneak in. Today's issue is YOUR site, and the end result is clear. Please don't drag it on. ccwaters (talk) 13:26, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
