Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at Jess Phillips (politician). Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing Wikipedia. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. Thank you. Recent edits to MP articles

Hello! I've noticed you've added some good material to articles for UK Members of Parliament recently. There are a couple of things I'd like to draw to your attention. You've added or expanded Controversy sections to a number of articles, which are rarely the best way to organise articles. WP:Criticism is a good summary of how critical material can be integrated into articles. For big controversies, a section can be appropriate but with a more descriptive name than Controversy or Controversies. The structure you used here is a good way to do that.

The other thing is about "indiscriminate" inclusion of material. TheyWorkForYou as a source doesn't establish weight for inclusion in the way that secondary source coverage does. Based on the two ideas I've outlined I made some changes to Johnny Mercer's page. I really appreciate the effort you're going to in updating MPs' articles and hope that the essay and policies I've linked are helpful for you. Hi Ralbegen Thanks for the advice. The rule of thumb I was using was to drop the information on more controversial stuff into the main body of text unless there was a 'critical mass', in which case I created a separate section (like separate sections on 'Awards and achievements'), but take your point about the Wiki guidance.
