If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Salafist Call requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Ben Ben (talk) 01:18, 29 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article Muhammad Ismail al-Muqaddam has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Khaled Aggag, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://freemusiceg.com/en/node/77.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. Hello Islam90,

It seems to me that an article you worked on, Soma (Singer), may be copied from http://flachdcd.com/category/soma-%d8%b3%d9%88%d9%85%d8%a7/. It's entirely possible that I made a mistake, but I wanted to let you know because Wikipedia is strict about copying from other sites.

It's important that you edit the article and rewrite it in your own words, unless you're absolutely certain nothing in it is copied. If you're not sure how to fix the problem or have any questions, there are people at the help desk who are happy to assist you.

Thank you for helping build a free encyclopedia! MadmanBot (talk) 14:08, 14 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

October 2013

[edit]

Hello Islam90, and welcome to Wikipedia. Your addition to Soma (Singer) has had to be removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and a cited source. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied without attribution. If you want to copy from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. S.G.(GH) ping! 14:19, 14 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

3rr warning

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. -- Jeff3000 (talk) 22:19, 15 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, there are a number of rules in the English Wikipedia which you may not be aware of. One is that instead of edit-warring you should bring up disagreements on the talk page of the article first. Associated with this is that you cannot revert an article more than 3 times in a 24 hour period, which you did on Baha'i calendar. Please check the logs. The other Wikipedia policy that I should let you know about is the assume good faith policy. Just because I may disagree with you that doesn't make me "religious intolerance". Making such a statement makes it seem like you have already made up your mind about me, which is against the Wikipedia policy. Wikipedia is based on verifiability based on reliable sources. What you may think is important, if it is not distinguished in reliable sources in the same extent may not make it notable in the context that you are pushing. Hopefully you will read the English Wikipedia policies and become a useful editor here. Warm regards, -- 01:59, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
Multiple times you have reverted changes that are under discussion in the talk page. As I noted above the method of editing is Wikipedia is to talk about changes on the talk page, and you have failed to do so. There are problems with the way that you are presenting things that don't match with the way they are in reliable sources. Please bring up your concerns on the talk page before reverting any further. Warm regards, -- Jeff3000 (talk) 17:49, 16 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
If you want to be able to contribute on the English Wikipedia you need to be able to communicate. You are again not assuming good faith with your "religious intolerance" statements. Your edits don't abide by the some policies such as [[WP:NOTABILITY|notability].. You will need to bring up your changes on the talk page, rather than reverting. Please translate the above if you don't understand. Regards, -- Jeff3000 (talk) 23:16, 16 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Also remember that you already have three reversions in a 24-hour period, and if you revert another time you can be blocked by passing the 3rr rule. Warm regards, -- Jeff3000 (talk) 23:19, 16 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Just an another aspect - Islam90 - do you see the comments in edits? See [1] But you should more importantly think about what you are doing. --Smkolins (talk) 00:14, 17 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 48 hours for edit warring, as you did at Template:Babism. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.  Bbb23 (talk) 04:07, 17 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of AFD notice

[edit]

As you may not know, it is against Wikipedia policy to remove the AFD notice from the page. Actually it states that quite directly on the template stating "Feel free to edit the article, but the article must not be blanked, and this notice must not be removed, until the discussion is closed.". Regards, -- Jeff3000 (talk) 14:48, 18 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I guess you don't know what Wikipedia's policies are again, but I'll point you some policies you should read. Not everything that exists in the world can/should have a Wikipedia article. Only things that are notable, by Wikipedia policy and definition, are allowed to have Wikipedia pages about them. What does notability mean; it generally means that the subject of the page has "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject". This means that there must be secondary sources that talk about the subject, and not just in passing. For the two pages that you created, no-one is saying that the books don't exist, but they are both non-notable. That the primary source of the article exists, and there may be a number of self-published blogs about the books on the internet doesn't come out to be "significant coverage in reliable sources". Regards, -- Jeff3000 (talk) 15:14, 18 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Did you even read what I wrote about, and the Wikipedia policies. It has nothing to do with if it's a real book or not; it has to do with notability. And notability is defined by "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject". If I write a book, can I have a Wikipedia article about my book? The answer is no, and that's because it's not notable. It's the same thing about these books. Because it has not received "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject" it is not notable. Regards, -- Jeff3000 (talk) 15:26, 18 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

No personal attacks

[edit]

Your comment on my page in Arabic is a swear word and is considered a "personal attack". Wikipedia does not look to kindly to personal attacks and there is a policy on no personal attacks. If you continue with such personal attacks you can be blocked. -- Jeff3000 (talk) 15:30, 18 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Tahirih Poets

[edit]

I have redirected your newly created page Tahirih Poets to Tahirih's page. I still don't think you understand the English Wikipedia's policies. You may understand the Arabic Wikipedia policies, but each Wikipedia has it's own policies. For one, you should read WP:content forking and summary style. I think the intention of your article was something like "The poetry of Tahirih", and your English was very bad. Regardless, the way you add content first in such a manner is to add the content to the appropriate page, rather than just create new pages. In this case, the most germane place is in the Tahirih article, and only once the content becomes too large, then you create a summary style sub-article. Regards, -- Jeff3000 (talk) 03:05, 22 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Dealer movie.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Islam in China

You have created both Wikipedia:WikiProject Islam/Islam in China work group and Wikipedia:WikiProject Islam in China which contain identical content. Please decide if you and any other participants want this collaboration to be a working group of WikiProject Islam or an independent WikiProject and delete the page that you will no longer be using. Wikipedia policies

[edit]

I guess you still are not reading the English Wikipedia policies, even though I've noted them to you a number of times on the talk page, but I'll do it here again:

  1. No original research. You cannot have something in Wikipedia that isn't cited in a reliable source. And that includes a synthesis of other facts, like what you are trying to do. From the policy page: "Do not combine material from multiple sources to reach or imply a conclusion not explicitly stated by any of the sources."
  2. Undue Weight. Small minority views don't get to be in any Wikipedia article. From the policy page: "If a viewpoint is held by an extremely small (or vastly limited) minority, it does not belong in Wikipedia regardless of whether it is true or not and regardless of whether you can prove it or not"
  3. Verifiability. Other Wikipedia articles, such as the Book or Template that you are referencing are not acceptable as sources. From the policy page: "Do not use articles from Wikipedia as sources. Also, do not use websites that mirror Wikipedia content or publications that rely on material from Wikipedia as sources."

You insertion of the Babism in that article breaks all three of thove above policies. Regards, -- 11:40, 14 May 2014 (UTC)

Another Wikipedia policy that you should know about is assume good faith. That policy says to talk about user actions, not reasons. You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, a group of people, an individual animal, an organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content, or an organized event, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. 213.205.194.111 (talk) 16:51, 10 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The article Salma Ghazali has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Melcous (talk) 06:05, 10 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I'm an administrator on Wikipedia. I've deleted the article for the time being but it can most certainly be re-created if you can first draft a more complete version with some supporting references. Use your sandbox to do this and if you're not sure how, then please come to my talk page or that of the editor who posted above and we can advise you. Best wishes, Kim Dent-Brown (Talk) 16:51, 17 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
