Re: You seem an experienced user...

[edit]

While I appreciate the idea, I must respectfully decline. I have no ambitions of adminship, nor do I fancy the idea of subjecting myself to interrogation. Thanks anyways. Sir Sputnik (talk) 00:44, 8 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Edit warring warning

[edit]

An edit warring warning for the very, very FIRST revert in 15 hours, while the other editor, who is at his second revert in 10 minutes does not get a warning. You must be kidding. --Dirk Beetstra T C 15:42, 8 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Get away from me! I don't want your copyrightparanoiaitis!!! Island Monkey talk the talk 15:46, 8 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know how serious you're being (obviously "copyrightparanoiaitis" is meant to be at least partly humourous) but I hope you realise that no-one thinks for a moment that there is any legal concern about either of the contested versions of the article. CIreland (talk) 15:52, 8 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

July 2011

[edit]
You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for edit warring, as you did at List of Rozen Maiden characters. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. 28bytes (talk) 16:50, 8 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Excuse me, shouldn't Delta be blocked as well? Island Monkey talk the talk 16:51, 8 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  1. No, because he's doing NFCC enforcement, and
  2. See WP:NOTTHEM. 28bytes (talk) 16:59, 8 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
(edit conflict) Well, I'm sorry, but, he is still in motion for a block since WP:3RRNO clearly states that only unquestionable NFCC violations are exempt from 3RR. His removal of the images has been questioned, see the talk page. Island Monkey talk the talk 17:04, 8 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Well then, you will be happy to note that he has been blocked by another admin. 28bytes (talk) 17:05, 8 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Then I now accept this block, it is good to know. See you tomorrow. Island Monkey talk the talk 17:07, 8 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your GA nomination of Fast Lane (song)

[edit]

The article Fast Lane (song) you nominated as a good article has been placed on hold . This article has numerous issues, but I will give you the general seven days to fix these issues. If these are fixed within seven days, the article will pass, otherwise it will fail. See Talk:Fast_Lane_(song)/GA1 for things which need to be addressed. - Rp0211 (talk2me) 19:20, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Adding to Rp, Monkey, I have so far done most of the fixes but would you care to make sure they were done right? Please take your time, with the July 18 deadline in mind. Thanks! WIKIPEDIAN PENGUIN (♫♫) 23:41, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Since all of the issues have been addressed, I put the article in good article status. For comments see: Talk:Fast_Lane_(song)/GA1. Congratulations and keep up the good work. - Rp0211 (talk2me) 02:07, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I was gonna ask WPP in the morning (well, morning for Britain), but it appears it's been done over the BST moonlight. Island Monkey talk the talk 07:10, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked as a sock puppet

[edit]
You have been blocked indefinitely as a sock puppet. –MuZemike 21:04, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
You may contest this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but please read our guide to appealing blocks first.

Orphaned non-free image File:Nuspire-networks.png

You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

I'm not a sock of that evil person. Many people on here edit war. You CU'd me right? Without notification? Canvassing. Fishing. CheckUser isn't a magic wand, you know. If you didn't CU me, any evidence? Island Monkey talk the talk 3:15 am, Today (UTC−4)

{{admin help}} Hey, before I go, I would like to clarify a few things. Number one is that the sockmaster isn't Special Cases but User:Unclebert10. And secondly, you've missed a treasure full of other socks (see Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Alacante45). 109.145.183.52 (talk) 11:12, 17 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It was nice to see an experienced vandal fighter here. I understand your frustration about being blocked. Don't worry about it. Understand that you have been among one of the best vandal fighters I have ever met. I nearly had a heart attack when I found out you had been indefinitely blocked from editing.

I still will not refuse to award you a last barnstar:

Well it's been a long time, eh? I think it's time I shall be liberated. I've been standing here all this time, and really, I'd like to come back. I wouldn't like to think that you'd be thinking "Once a sock, always a sock". I doesn't always work like that. Island Monkey talk the talk 18:39, 1 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Arbitration Committee appeal

[edit]

The Arbitration Committee has carefully considered your appeal and has declined to unblock at this time.

You may re-apply to have your ban reviewed again in six-months' time. There is no automatic entitlement to an unban, however, so you will need to provide us with good reasons why we should do so. Additionally, we would expect to see evidence of insight into the conduct that caused the problems in the first place as well as commitment to changed and well-controlled behaviour. Clearly, six-months trouble-free editing on another wikiproject (for example, Commons or Wikiversity) would count in your favour at a later appeal.
