Apologies & Welcome

[edit]

Hello, I may have appeared to be a little harsh, I’m sorry about that. Okay let’s start with your final request at Praxidicae’s talk page, in which you asked me to remove an AFD template, I’m sorry but at this point it simply cannot be done. If an article is nominated for deletion, see WP:AFD, it has to run for at least seven days in which editors can !vote a delete or a keep. Now allow me explain why I nominated your article for deletion. This community isn’t a place like WP:LINKEDIN where you create a profile & promote yourself any how you see fit, no it isn’t like that here. On Wikipedia, we use WP:GNG to test how notable a subject of an article is, if they fail to satisfy WP:GNG we nominate them for deletion & even worse is when you create an article for yourself it is very much disallowed or rather discouraged. In your case you are not yet notable enough to have a stand alone article. When or if you do became notable someone else would write a page for you. Read WP:GNG thoroughly before going on to create another article in future as even the best of editors in this collaborative project struggle to comprehend WP:GNG. It isn’t also a function of being a new or an old editor as even administrators here have their articles sometimes end up in an AFD. This is basically a skeletal framework of how things are done here & not the entirety of who we are or what we do as it goes beyond what I just told you above as editing here is a lifelong learning process. Read WP:AUTO, WP:COI, The golden rule also, but first commit to memory the contents of general notability guidelines.Celestina007 (talk) 19:28, 27 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Izueke chijioke, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you created or edited was Paceloti, which appears to be an article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is a common mistake made by new Wikipedians—as this is an encyclopedia, we wouldn't expect to have an article about every contributor. Your user page, however, is a great place to write about yourself, making sure to stay within user page guidelines. Just click your user name at the top of the screen when you are logged in, and edit it normally.

The page you created about yourself may well be deleted from the encyclopedia. If it is deleted and you wish to retrieve its contents, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page. If your contributions to an existing article about yourself are undone and you wish to add to it, please propose the changes on its talk page.

It is a bad idea to write an article about yourself

[edit]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions; however, it appears you may have written a Wikipedia article about yourself, at Paceloti. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – please see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to or change an existing article about yourself, you are welcome to propose the changes by visiting the article's talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was the page I created deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss this with the deleting administrator. Thank you. —C.Fred (talk) 20:39, 27 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on User:Izueke chijioke/sandbox requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free web hosting service. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.
