Request reason:
I believe I've been unfairly blocked as I followed the rules on providing external links relating to specific content by linking to my sites page with more discussion on those topics. The "admin" that blocked me is retired and not able to contact

Block for linkspamming endorsed. You will only be unblocked if you promise to stop adding these links and if you show how you will otherwise positively contribute to our project. — Sandstein 07:35, 14 October 2007 (UTC)

Now I'm really confused. When I originally posted the links under external links I insured that I followed the published rules as posted on this site so as not to be accused of spamming. The links were to topical areas on my site - bible prophecy - that related to the area I linked thereby adding to the discussion without cluttering up the main wiki page but adding credible information...for this I'm banned for spamming??

In reply to your e-mail, here is the relevant part of WP:EL#Advertising and conflicts of interest: "You should avoid linking to a website that you own, maintain or represent, even if the guidelines otherwise imply that it should be linked. If the link is to a relevant and informative site that should otherwise be included, please consider mentioning it on the talk page and let neutral and independent Wikipedia editors decide whether to add it."
