Re:Coheed and Cambria

I thank you for the invitation, but what I was really doing on that article was reverting vandalism. I enjoy reverting vandalism. Thanks anyway. Savie Kumara 03:53, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

Alright, happy reverting! JacќяМ ¿Qué? 03:58, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

UK's third city

The editor in question has been IP address hopping all night prefixing any mention of Manchester with the phrase "the UK's third city". This started as an edit war the editor is having with a number of people on the article Manchester over a single sentence noting that some people today consider Manchester to have supplanted Birmingham as the UK's second city. Pit-yacker 03:20, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

I thought he meant this, but has any concencus been agreed on this or is there any proof? It's also difficult to tell what is meant simply by ",..the UK's third city". Thanks for informing me of this, and if there is any further discussion on "UK's third city", please tell me so I can get involved. Thanks -JacќяМ ¿Qué? 03:47, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

Its almost certainly the same person, there is currently two theads open at WP:AN/I. He has spent most of the last two days hopping IP addresses every few mins. IP ranges 79.73.*.* and 79.65.*.* (Ticali Broadband I understand) have been temp blocked so he has now defaulted to dial-up access. I guess that one problem with second city is there isnt an official one so different people believe different things. However, third city is something I have never heard used before, at least in the UK. Certainly, with some of the articles that have been vandalised concerning 19th Century and earlier Manchester, I would argue it is wrong to call Manchester even the third city in those cases. It might also interest you that Second city of the United Kingdom is currently at AFD if you wish to comment. Pit-yacker 16:25, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

I posted something on that page, 3 more IP's which have made similar edits. Thanks for telling me about this discussion. "Also named ips have made similar edits: 79.73.139.8, 79.73.239.0 and 79.73.204.237. Two edited my talk page editing others comments on Manchester to put ".. UK's third city". -JacќяМ ¿Qué? 16:43, 4 August 2007 (UTC)" (-JacќяМ ¿Qué? 16:51, 4 August 2007 (UTC))

Re: Esmée Denters

It's not that she's not notable (she's certainly notable enough to deserve her own article), it's that her putting a video on youtube is not a notable incident as far as Luther Vandross' life and work is concerned. Closenplay 12:44, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

Hi there. as a previous commenter onto the actions of Sherzo, could you please read and comment on this new debate Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/Incidents#Sherzo. Many thanks. TorstenGuise 09:14, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for your support. This counter accusation is really poor form. Just degrades him even further in my eyes. TorstenGuise 18:22, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

I have appealed again for an administrator to decide Sherzo's fate. If you wish to do so as well, please do. TorstenGuise 16:38, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

Raul Bravo's edit, a response...

MR. JACKRM, THIS IS VASCO AMARAL FROM PORTUGAL, user nº217.129.67.28.

Regarding RAUL BRAVO, spanish footballer article: I DID NOTHING VANDALIC, THE STUPID STORY ABOUT HIM SCORING A BICYCLE KICK OWN GOAL AGAINST FC BARCELONA IS COMPLETELY FALSE, THAT IS WHY I ERASED IT, IT IS VANDALISM AND I DID NOT INSERT IT (CHECK ARTICLE HISTORY BEFORE YOU SAY WHO DID THAT TO WHAT ARTICLE) AND I REMOVED FLAGICON SIMPLY BECAUSE IT WAS REPEATED, IF IT MAKES YOU FEEL BETTER, I'LL LEAVE ALL FLAGICONS THERE...

I am seriously getting a little annoyed with some people here at WIKIPEDIA: I only try to help, i correct language, grammar, arrange infoboxes, and get in return civility messages and attacks of the sort. FOR INSTANCE YOU SAY TO ME "HALF OF WHAT YOU WROTE MAKES NO SENSE AND YOU REMOVED FLAGICON. WHY?". I wrote absolutely NOTHING new, perhaps only mistake was removing FLAGICON, and it is the second time i remove VANDALISM from BRAVO'S article, who, as you can imagine is not one of the most famous people of SPAIN, let alone WORLD. Yet, his article is vandalized at least two times, i try to help and get reprimanded. WELL MY FELLOW USER, do not think i will contribute much longer. NEVER HAVING VANDALIZED A SINGLE PAGE, I HAVE BEEN MADE ALL KINDS OF WARNINGS, EVEN THREATENED WITH PERMANENT BLOCKING. Suit yourself, have a good stay at WIKIPEDIA.

Greetings from Portugal, VASCO AMARAL

Some more clearing-ups...

MR. JACKRM, IT'S VASCO AGAIN...

Like i thought!!! Was checking some ancient (2005-06) MARCA (spanish newspaper) online editions and, in 2005-06, RAUL BRAVO indeed played 1 game (in BARCELONA) against FCB, and i read the chronicle on that match and THERE ARE NO REFERENCES TO BICYCLE KICKS AND OWN GOALS OR "OWN GOALS" (AS SOMEONE (NOT ME!!!) WROTE) ON HIS PART.

So, i erased and feel i did the right thing. ONCE AGAIN, ONLY TRYING TO HELP, NOT VANDALIZE!!! If you check this person's article, you will find that someone (A REAL VANDAL) once wrote that his current club was "WATFORD BADMINTON SQUAD IN IRELAND WITH HIS FAMILY" and inserted LA LAKERS squad template. SO PLEASE, ease up on the accusations, i have never done anythying malicious at WIKIPEDIA, and have corrected many...

SEE YOU (HOPEFULLY WITH SOME OTHER TYPE OF CONVERSATION), VASCO AMARAL —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.129.67.28 (talkcontribs)

Hi Vasco. I never accused you of anything! You just added a section which wasn't good English, and seemed to remove a flagicon. I didn't accuse you of adding this section in question either, it just seemed like an unconstructive edit. But since you have found there is no reference to an own goal, feel free to delete it, if you haven't already done. Feel free to write back. -JacќяМ ¿Qué? 04:33, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

Greetings

Hello Jack it's VASCO from PORTUGAL,

I see that we are more or less eye to eye on this matter now. Still there is a problem. You say that i added "...a section which wasn't good English...". If you care to point it out to me, i will undo my error, altough i've looked the article through and through and cannot find that "poor English".

Greetings from PORTUGAL, have a NICE WEEKEND, VASCO AMARAL

It's all sorted now. Sorry for the misunderstanding, and any confusion I may have caused! I notice you're pretty new to Wikipedia, so if there's any questions you want to ask, feel free! Don't forget to sign your comments with ~~~~. Also, may I suggest you create a user account, as your edits are very helpful here at Wikipedia. Happy editing! -JacќяМ ¿Qué? 15:58, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

Re:Re to your signing of my signature book

It's not mine so sure! If you want to see the original design. View Alison's Userpage. She is the one who designed it! I had edited out some parts of it so you can view there because she also used a different color scheme. Deflagro Contribs/Talk 00:00, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

I won't accept a barnstar as I did not make it. If you want to give out a barnstar for it, send it on over to Alison since she did create it! Deflagro Contribs/Talk 22:28, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
