UPN uploaded diagrams
[edit]My reading of the website terms at elements.cloud (terms hosted here: https://app.box.com/s/8rxngmcncj7acymonnosge5xt0p4v61l) is that this is a license that is not compatible with CC BY-SA 3.0 and you did not have the right to release the diagrams, created by someone else, used in Draft:Universal Process Notation (UPN). Before I tag them for deletion as improperly licensed, do you have an explanation that would make deletion unnecessary? — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 14:07, 27 July 2021 (UTC)
- Hi, I am currently an Employee of Elements.Cloud so I assume I have an exception. And, while Elements.Cloud does offer UPN Tooling it is completely free to use and as such these references should not be taken as a form of advertising. It is also impossible to completely separate Elements.Cloud from UPN as the founding partners were also instrumental at Nimbus Partners in the development of the standard. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jameshancock01 (talk • contribs) 14:13, 27 July 2021 (UTC)
- No, that does not sound like an acceptable assignment of the license. I'll have to work on asking that the license situation be reviewed on each of them.
- Also, if you have this sort of connection with a subject, it is best if you disclose that fact with a statement on your user page, which does not yet exist. Click on your (red) username to create it. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 01:17, 28 July 2021 (UTC)
- Okay, what do I need to do to get an acceptable assignment of the license then? I'll create a user page to show that I am a current employee as well. Jameshancock01 (talk) 08:32, 28 July 2021 (UTC)
Hi @Jmcgnh:, I have released the copyright permissions through OTRS on all diagrams and source material used. Does that mean all copyright violations have been resolved? And I can proceed to another review? Could you please let me know if there is anything else you think I should do... Thanks for all your continued assistance.
