Greetings. I left a response at Talk:Hmong American. Hopefully not too cutting... :-\ TomerTALK 21:35, 27 November 2005 (UTC)
- Response left on your talk (as well as on Talk: Hmong American), but again, certainly not too cutting, that's why I asked for comments. :) Janet13 22:00, 27 November 2005 (UTC)
- (Copying from Talk:Hmong American:) Looks good. I redid it a bit, as well as fixed up a few other things in there. Hope you don't mind. TomerTALK 22:18, 27 November 2005 (UTC)
From Joy
[edit]Thanks for your surgery on the article bag. I hated feeling like a lone edit warrior, but I know that material does not belong there. Joyous | Talk 16:46, 4 December 2005 (UTC)
From anon
[edit]Please stop removing the information on the use of bag as a derogatory term. As it is a term used fairly often by more than a few people I know, the author is not likely to have fabricated the entire story, especially as urbandictionary.com definition 13 corresponds to this definition of bag, though in less detail. I assure you, that material is truthful, and does belong there.
With Dan100
[edit]Hi, the problem is not dead, I'm just respecting the mediation process and not editing while it (was) listed up on mediation. If you read the entry as it currently stands, the anonymous user has changed his definition to even say that bags are "those bags keep eliminating the usage of bag as a derogatory term." Please relist it under mediation.
Thanks. Janet13 19:21, 16 December 2005 (UTC)
- Hello, I've put it back. I thought about mediating on this but there doesn't seem much to say - that information should not be there, so I've simply reverted. I'd be suprised if the anon bothers coming back but if he does, let me know! Dan100 (Talk) 20:36, 16 December 2005 (UTC)
Bag mediation request, The Mediation Cabal
[edit]Dear Janet13: Hello there, my name is Nicholas Turnbull, and I'm a mediator and leader of the Mediation Cabal. I have assigned this case the status "Under observation". Below is my response from the request page at Wikipedia:Mediation_Cabal/Cases/06_12_2005_Bag_edit_war:
There does appear to be a recurrent content dispute in question, but the anon editing doesn't appear to have returned for some time now and it does not seem to be a specific IP reinserting the information, although 24.195.228.192 appears to be the more recent one. Alas, it is nigh-on impossible to mediate a dispute with a series of anons who are merely aggressively reinserting content, and it seems unlikely that voluntary mediation would really either be workable or possible under these circumstances. What I'll do is watch this page and if it does recur, I will request to the parties in question that they post their individual concerns here at the Mediation Cabal and enter a mediation process.
You will notice that the Mediation Cabal procedure has changed, since each mediation request now has a subpage of its own, as linked to above. I will notify you both there and on your talk page of any developments in this case. Also, I must apologise for the severe delay in handling this case; my absence caused something of a backlogue, and I do hope this has not caused you a great deal of inconvenience. If you require any help or assistance please do not hesistate to contact either myself or my colleagues at the Mediation Cabal. Best regards, --NicholasTurnbull | (talk) 23:14, 19 December 2005 (UTC)
Good work
[edit]Thank you for trimming excess detail out of the MIT article. Now, if we could only get good and important information to put there instead, I'd be really happy! Sigh. Anville 20:16, 22 January 2006 (UTC)
- Oh, yeah, and having just glanced at your user page—the Gwen Stefani song on the front page bummed me out. (Were you around for the "Hollaback Girl" FA fiasco? Uggh.) Anville 20:21, 22 January 2006 (UTC)
- You're welcome. I love MIT, but, sometimes, people are a bit silly. No, I missed the FA fiasco... I think I saw the first nom, maybe. I remember glancing at someone's user page and it saying that s/he wanted to make all of her songs FAs. Sometimes, WP makes me sad. Other times, it makes me happy and keeps me awake (it's 3 a.m. my time). Yay, someone *does* read my userpage. User:Janet13 02:56, 23 January 2006 (UTC)
NPOVing Bose Headphone Family
[edit]I noticed that you linked to the Bose Headphone Family stating that you wanted to make it more balanced. I have spent quite a lot of time editing this article and I believe that it’s now much better. I haven't fully finished the page but if you have any input it would be appreciated. My next task would be to NPOV the Bose Corporation article since it is very biased. But I think it will be some time before I get around to it. (UKPhoenix79 04:40, 22 February 2006 (UTC))
- Hey UKPhoenix79, I don't have much time right now to do a thorough read-through but the scan I made of it showed significant improvement - great job! I'll hopefully get to read the whole thing in a week or so... Janet13 19:59, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for inserting my missing ">"! Tyrenius 13:44, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
I know that you wanted to work on the Bose Headphone Family page and I was hoping that I could get you involved with the discussion here! Thanks -- UKPhoenix79 05:34, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
AfD/Ladies Bible Study
[edit]Since you left some comments on Talk:Ladies Bible Study about putting it up for deletion, I thought you might want to know that I went on and did so... if you'd like to comment there, the vote seems surprisingly even so far. - Jaeger5432 13:31, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

Old filename fixed
[edit]I noticed that you asked for "Proud to be apart of the military family.jpg" to be renamed back in 2007 (File talk:Proud to be apart of the military family.jpg, which will probably soon be deleted). I just noticed the name when I transferred it to Wikimedia Commons, and had it transfer as File:Proud to Be Part of a Military Family artist.jpg, to reflect the title on the picture itself and that the artist is holding it. You also mentioned "and also for the high res version". Do you happen to know what the high-res version was called? (Leave a note on my talk page when you reply — I might have long forgotten about this message by the time you reply!) --Closeapple (talk) 11:39, 4 January 2012 (UTC)
