Thanks for working to improve this article. Hopefully, enough collaborative work will refine it to the point that the tag (or portions therein) could be removed. Regards, El_C 13:47, 10 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I said "collaborative," but I should have said singular. Thanks for all the heavy lifting. Your work is appreciated. Regards, El_C 04:06, 23 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello El C! That's nice, thank you very much! I try my best! I've replaced all QQ links (except for 2 QQ News articles), all Instagram links and almost all YouTube links. I've added a few missing information, and I've started rewording and shortening parts the article. Best wishes, Jasmin Ariane (talk) 10:28, 25 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to know what happened to it. I did many edits last year, they are now gone. The public performances and Trivia section is totally not found! Looks like I have to start looking back and see what is missing and add them again. Had been recommending people too see his info on wiki, now it looks like half the info is missing. Hi!

You have uploaded this file and there is no information about source or author. Perhaps you could add the missing information. Did you take the photo yourself?

The current license on the photo is GFDL and that is a bad license for photos. Perhaps you would be willing to change to Cc-by-sa-4.0? That means it will be easier for other to use the photo and they have to give you/the photographer credit for the photo (mention the name of the photographer). --MGA73 (talk) 21:21, 13 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

MGA73 Hello! No, I did not take it myself. I contacted the photographer who allowed me to use it for Wikipedia (and now generally allows the use, publishing and alternation of the photo). To be honest, I'm not experienced in licensing, especially not on Wikipedia, which is why an admin worded the text for me.
To the phorographer: This is her IG:
https://www.instagram.com/laura___dear/
I wanted to give her credit on Wikipedia, but she says she prefers her full name not to be published and likes to be publicly referred to as "laura___dear" (her IG name).
This is the original photo upload (before she removed the watermark for me)
https://www.instagram.com/p/B2HJA3XgRJe/
I'm sorry that I can't be more helpful in this field. However, I was planning to contact her anyway. She allowed me to choose a few more photos for Wikipedia, and I'd like to ask her, if I can also use this one here:
https://www.instagram.com/p/B9i1-L-gf2O/
So, in case you would like to get in touch with her, please let me know.
Best wishes, Jasmin Ariane (talk) 23:10, 13 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! Thank you very much for the fast reply!

We have a system (callet OTRS) where copyrightholders can send a permission and only a few persons have access to it. So she does not need to worry that her name is published online. I copied this from the standard text:

"If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to [email protected], stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to [email protected]."

This is just so you can see how it is usually done. In this case you can just forward the imail to the email above and they will help fixing this. Please include the name of the file you uploaded (File:Kudaibergen at New Wave in 2019.jpg). --MGA73 (talk) 07:55, 14 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Checking in

[edit]

Hey, Jasmin. I see you're still contributing in force to Dimash Kudaibergen. Hopefully, that dispute from last month was resolved through editorial collaboration and good faith. Anyway, just checking in. Hope you're well. All the best, El_C 11:27, 26 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

"Dears"

[edit]

Got an idea, where that could be placed. When did his fans begin to call themselves "Dears"? The beginning of his fandom could be mentioned in one short sentence in the section of that year. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MeUnknown010 (talkcontribs) 21:27, 29 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Kudaibergen at New Wave in 2019.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Kudaibergen at New Wave in 2019.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to [email protected].

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ƏXPLICIT 23:42, 17 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Dimash Kudaibergen Arnau Moscow 20.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement of https://www.facebook.com/DimashARGENTINA/photos/a.1094422294033158/1848353758640004/?type=3&theater. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Matvey Lykov, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

I have undeleted and draftified the article - it is now at Draft:Matvey Lykov. It still requires a good amount of work, but this will give you a chance to address any issues that it has. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 15:48, 19 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked following a sockpuppet investigation at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Lisa DWT. I determined that you are the person behind both accounts, and as Lisa DWT was indefinitely hard blocked (blocked without allowing account creation) you violated the sockpuppetry policy by creating and using another account to evade the block. Reviewing administrators are welcome to email me to ask for evidence, or if you prefer, I can detail it on the wiki. You may appeal this block as stated above. Dreamy Jazz talk to me | my contributions 20:03, 2 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Dreamy Jazz: Just to add my thoughts here. I think we have to take in to account in this case that the original block was excessive. Lisa DWT almost exclusively edited the Dimash Kudaibergen page and was blocked for bringing it to this state. While it certainly had too much detail and tone and structure issues, I would not describe it as disruptive editing or spammy. The same accusations were levelled at the Matvey Lykov article, but all I see is the work of an enthusiastic editor who needs some guidance on in-house style. There are clear indications of a willingness to learn on this account, including use of the sandbox and solicitation of advice on the edits. I went through very similar beginnings as an editor on the Jeff Buckley article and thankfully other editors gave me feedback and taught me how to write better for Wikipedia, rather than blocked me as a promotional spambot. I think what has happened here is problematic and indicative of the community's failure to mentor new editors or take them in good faith. Certainly I cannot see any evidence that this user has been combative. They have even navigated the OTRS process when asked, which is a process unfriendly to new users. Sillyfolkboy, I agree with your thoughts. I want to add that my block is only because the account I suspected they also controlled, was (and still is), currently blocked. Dreamy Jazz talk to me | my contributions 18:36, 3 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion pending for File:Dimash Kudaibergen at his Arnau Moscow Concert in 2020.jpg

[edit]

Hello, Jasmin Ariane. Some time ago, a file you uploaded — File:Dimash Kudaibergen at his Arnau Moscow Concert in 2020.jpg — was tagged with {{OTRS pending}}, indicating that you (or perhaps the copyright holder if you did not create this image) submitted a statement of permission to [email protected]. Though there is often a backlog processing messages received at this address, we should have received your message by now.

  • If you have already sent this message, it is possible that there was a problem receiving it. Please re-send it to [email protected] and let us know at the OTRS noticeboard that you have done so.

If we don't hear from you within one week, the file will be deleted. If we can help you, please feel free to ask at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 14:35, 13 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
