[edit]Thanks for clarifying the source - if you're reusing an existing source for a new addition to the article, you can use a ref tag to point to it. Although IMDb alone isn't that watertight as a source, as cast information is user-submitted, and the more obscure the casting detail, the greater the possibility that a typo or misunderstanding or hoax has crept in.
I'm not sure a full list of what seem to be uncredited extras is of encyclopedic significance - WP:CASTLIST cautions vaguely against being exhaustive for no good reason. Is there some particular significance to the scene or the actors? --McGeddon (talk) 17:48, 23 September 2016 (UTC)
- User talk pages are a bit oblique, aren't they? I think the usual approach is to always reply on the other person's talk page, so that they get an alert to the new message, but many editors prefer to keep a whole thread going on the same person's talk page.
- WP:CITINGIMDB summarises Wikipedia's view on using IMDb as a source. And yes, Wikipedia's cast list sections vary wildly, WP:CASTLIST mentions at least three formats.
- I think the main reason I reverted the full uncredited cast list was because I couldn't see the significance of it - any film article could include an uncredited list of extras for any crowd scene, but it seems unlikely to help the reader. --McGeddon (talk) 14:24, 25 September 2016 (UTC)
