Writing articles
Miscellaneous

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

A tag has been placed on J.reyez requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject of the article is important or significant: that is, why an article about it should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you can assert the notability of the subject, . Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the article's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

See the guidelines for specific types of articles: biographies, websites, bands, or companies. Salih (talk) 16:18, 6 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Jin (rapper) do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used as a platform for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia.
Your edit here to Jin (rapper) was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://www.youtube.com/user/AyoJinTV) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy, as well as other parts of our external links guideline. If the information you linked to is indeed in violation of copyright, then such information should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file, or consider linking to the original.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 17:02, 6 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Jin (rapper). Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been automatically reverted.

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Far East Movement. Users are expected to collaborate with others and avoid editing disruptively.

In particular, the three-revert rule states that:

  1. Making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you continue to edit war, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Jasper Deng (talk) 20:39, 7 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add or change content without verifying it by citing reliable sources. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Jasper Deng (talk) 20:39, 7 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add unsourced content, as you did to Far East Movement. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Ashanda (talk) 20:54, 7 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning. Stop adding unsourced info or you will be blocked.Jasper Deng (talk) 21:15, 7 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on 100 Grand Jin' requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Elkman (Elkspeak) 18:55, 27 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I have removed the speedy deletion tag from this article because CSD A1 does not apply, because the subject of the article can be identified from it. The article is, however, so short that it is likely to be merged and turned into a redirect if it is not expanded.James500 (talk) 00:12, 28 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of 100 Grand Jin for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article 100 Grand Jin is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/100 Grand Jin until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on good quality evidence, and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. PamD (talk) 20:48, 30 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Far East Movement & Far East Movement discography

[edit]

Greetings! Regarding Far East Movement, the edit you have been undoing relegated all of the discography information, including the music videos section you note in your explanation, to a second article, Far East Movement discography. It is typical to break information off into smaller articles, especially with a lengthy discography section such as this group's, to simplify the presentation of information. Please note also that by reverting it, you are restoring a reference error which causes the article to appear on the list at Category:Pages with broken reference names. Your edits for Music Videos are not gone, they have been moved to another article. I have re-reverted Far East Movement. Thanks! - Salamurai (talk) 23:02, 30 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:AIYA! jin speech bubble.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:AIYA! jin speech bubble.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 15:05, 5 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free use disputed for File:Far_East_Movement_Folk_Music_album_art_original.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Far_East_Movement_Folk_Music_album_art_original.jpg. Unfortunately, I think that you have not provided a proper rationale for using this image under "fair use". Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page. Note that the image description page must include the exact name or a link to each article the image is used in and a separate rationale for each one. (If a link is used, automated processes may improperly add the related tag to the image. Please change the fair use template to refer to the exact name, if you see this warning.)

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted after seven days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 23:56, 11 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Folk Music Japan album art.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Folk Music Japan album art.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

PLEASE NOTE:

  • I am a bot, and will therefore not be able to answer your questions.

Various/Alternative Names

[edit]

Hey Jmwikiacc,

In regards to Various/Alternative Names, I notice you reverted it. I'm not going to get into a revert war, but I encourage you to read the Wikipedia policies WP:NOR and WP:Trivia to see why other artists do not provide such information. Wikipedia is a not a fan site - it is not meant to post everything about a group. Rather, it should have notable, cited information.

This is not to discourage you from adding to Wikipedia. I am thankful you are contributing. I hope you will review this section and understand that some things may be factual and still not be notable to put on Wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Evaders99 (talkcontribs) 06:17, 16 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Per the consensus at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/100 Grand Jin, I have restored this as a redirect. Please do not revert. If you edit war to undo the redirect you are likely to be blocked.
