more image issues

[edit]

Hello, I noticed that you are requesting to be a sysop on Bengali Wikisource, where you have contributed a lot.

Did you take these photos with your own camera? If not, where are the photos from?

It would be nice if these images are free of copyright, but we must be very thorough and prove that they are. I will help with the copyright law if you can tell me the details. Feel free to email me any details you do not wish to discuss publicly. John Vandenberg (chat) 14:28, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your message. For your information, I can say, pictures -
but
Thank you for adding more information. File:Durga-lithography.JPG still needs to be updated with more information and a different license.
I have deleted File:Cover-desh-unishkuri.JPG as requested, and I have marked File:Young Barun sengupta.jpg for deletion if someone wishes to claim fair-use. bn:File:Young Barun sengupta.jpg also needs to be deleted if it isnt acceptable under U.S. fair use.

REQUEST TO UNBLOCK MY IP

[edit]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Jonoikobangali (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

my IP address is NOT an open proxy or zombie computer, and moreover please try to contact me before blocking me.

Decline reason:

  1. You aren't blocked directly; no one intended to block your account. We don't contact open proxies before we block them - we block, and then if asked, we may check them again.
  2. We don't know what your IP address is. If you want us to be able to handle this request, please follow the instructions here.

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

--Jonoikobangali (talk) 08:34, 22 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Sounak Chattopadhyay requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. TransporterMan (TALK) 18:04, 2 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. In Chandragupta (play), you recently added a link to the disambiguation page Play (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. For more information, see the FAQ or drop a line at the DPL WikiProject.

শুভ নববর্ষ ১৪২১!

[edit]
. শুভ নববর্ষ (Happy Bengali New Year)

Asian 10,000 Challenge invite

[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 04:55, 20 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
