Grech
[edit]The opening paragraph of a WP article doesn’t really require citations the way the body of an entry does. Unless we’re making a controversial assertion (he was the first...) or quoting, it’s ok to rely on the citations in the body of the WP article. This is a judgment call and there’s no strict rule about when to add citations to the summary at the top of an article, but IMHO the ones you’ve added to Grech are superfluous and distracting. - @Bmclaughlin9 Please feel free to remove, more references were requested at the ITN nomination Joseywales1961 (talk) 22:40, 31 December 2019 (UTC)
- Normally info about an ITN nomination is mentioned on the article’s Talk page, but I don’t see it there. Can you point me to it? Thx. Bmclaughlin9 (talk) 03:41, 1 January 2020 (UTC)

Re: The New Pope
[edit]Hi. You can find summaries in Italian like this one but I recommend you write the summary in your own words as not to violate the copyright of news articles. I wrote episodes 3 and 4 just by scanning through the episode and summarising the most important events. Each summary shouldn't be longer than 200 words but it's difficult to remain within the limit when there's so much in an episode. My summaries are already a bit too long and would require some trimming. I don't have time to write the remaining episodes right now, so do try and I can always have a look if there's a problem.--TheVampire (talk) 23:05, 2 February 2020 (UTC)
- Thank you TheVampire, I'll try and do it tomorrow Joseywales1961 (talk) 23:11, 2 February 2020 (UTC)

The file File:My 2 spaniels enjoying themselves at Lough Ennell, Ireland.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
orphaned image, no encyclopedic use
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Jordan 1972 (talk) 15:12, 1 April 2020 (UTC)

Invitation to RedWarn
[edit]Hello, Joseywales1961! I'm Ed6767. I noticed you have been using Twinkle and was wondering if you'd like to beta my new tool called RedWarn, specifically designed to improve your editing experience.
RedWarn is currently in use by nearly 100 other Wikipedians, and feedback so far has been extremely positive. In fact, in a recent survey of RedWarn users, 90% of users said they would recommend RedWarn to another editor. If you're interested, please see the RedWarn tool page for more information on RedWarn's features and instructions on how to install it. Otherwise, feel free to remove this message from your talk page. If you have any further questions, please ping me or leave a message on my talk page. Your feedback is much appreciated! Hi, Joseywales1961, On behalf of the Counter-Vandalism Unit Academy, congratulations! You have successfully completed all assignments and have now graduated from the Academy. You completed your final exam with a score of 98% – well done! It's been a pleasure to work with you over the past few months. I hope you gained something from this CVUA program and do always note that the motto of the Counter Vandalism Unit is Civility – Maturity – Responsibility. Rollback granted
[edit]Hi Joseywales1961. After reviewing your request for "rollbacker", I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:
- Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
- Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
- Rollback should never be used to edit war.
- If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
- Use common sense.
If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! Cabayi (talk) 06:51, 25 June 2020 (UTC)
- Thank you Cabayi for placing trust in me, it will be used with extreme caution JW 1961 Talk 07:00, 25 June 2020 (UTC)

Pending changes reviewer granted
[edit]Hello. Your account has been granted the "pending changes reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on pages protected by pending changes. The list of articles awaiting review is located at Special:PendingChanges, while the list of articles that have pending changes protection turned on is located at Special:StablePages.
Being granted reviewer rights neither grants you status nor changes how you can edit articles. If you do not want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time.
