Speedy deletion nomination of User:Jsedeno97/sandbox2

Page deletion

Hi! I saw that this came up and wanted to give some general advice on how to re-write this. One of the main things to be careful about is that it doesn't come across too strongly like a promotional biography, like you'd see on a professional page or book jacket biography. Avoid phrases like "Levine is a teacher to graduate and undergraduate students, as well as a resource to attorneys, police, and people in the intelligence and counterintelligence community." since that would just be seen as something that would puff him up (so to speak) to make him look better in the article and wouldn't come across as neutral.

Here's a general example of how I'd re-write this:

Timothy R. Levine is an American communication professor and writer. He is the Distinguished Professor and Chair of Communication Studies at University of Alabama at Birmingham and also serves as the Global Professor of Communication and Media at Korea University.

Early life and education section

Levine was born in Scottsdale, Arizona and attended Northern Arizona University, where he received a BS in psychology, and West Virginia University, where he received a MA in communication in 1985. The following year he earned a Ph.D. at Michigan State University.

From there you would have a section on his career, as well as a bibliography section where you would list his most notable works. I specify most notable (ie, the most frequently cited and reviewed works), as it wouldn't really be reasonable to list all of his articles since he's put out so many. Basically, you want this to be kind of a basic summary of information without it being too overly embellished.

Something I do want to heavily emphasize is that you must have independent, reliable sources for Levine in order to establish notability. The sources you had were primarily basic links to university websites and Wikipedia links. This is problematic because Wikipedia cannot be used to source itself and with the university links, those didn't back up the claims in specific, namely that he graduated from or worked at these institutions. You can use primary sources to back up basic information, but these cannot establish notability, however. Offhand he looks like he should be notable, given his citation index. WP:NACADEMIC lists some of the ways to establish notability for professors, and some general tips. I think that two of the easiest ways would be to find reviews of his work as well and/or to produce his citation index listing in Web of Knowledge or Scopus.
