pashtun mafia?

[edit]

The information you provided about the pashtun mafia promises to be interesting. But it has to be referenced. Are you in a position to cite an authoritative, verifiable source for this information? If so, please add it

The wikipedia has three key policies: WP:NPOV, WP:NOR and WP:VER. If you can't find a citation your connection will eventually be removed, because it does not comply with these policies.

Cheers! Geo Swan 09:02, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Similarly, the existing references don't support the connection you added to the Pashtun Mafia, just that they Abdul Qadir was accused of ties to organized crime. You have to find a reference that explicitly ties these men to "pashtun mafia".
I'll help you, if I can. Is Pasha Khan Zadran also a druglord?
Cheers! Geo Swan 09:11, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You cited the Asia Times -- a good source -- to tie men to the Pashtun mafia. But a google search doesn't actually show the Asia Times ever used this phrase.
A google search for the two separate words pashtun and mafia gives this list. It offers links that would enable us to add individuals to the article about the Opium production in Afghanistan. But not to pashtun mafia.
Cheers! Geo Swan 09:39, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Badal (justice/revenge), by 68.39.174.238 (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Badal (justice/revenge) is unquestionably copyright infringement, and no assertion of permission has been made.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Badal (justice/revenge), please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 18:10, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (Image:370 opium heroin2050081722-9297.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:370 opium heroin2050081722-9297.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 11:11, 20 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism of Pashtun Articles

[edit]

We need to work on getting users like Behnam and Anoshirawan banned or blocked because they are severely vandalising Pashtun culture and Pashtun people related articles. An example is that of Mirwais Khan Hotak and the Hotaki dynasty, where they are trying to show that the Hotaks were not Ghilzai Pashtuns, but were Tatars or Uzbeks.zakka 13:54, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Pashtun Mafia. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. You need to discuss this on the talk page rather than continually reverting. And accusing users of vandalism when you're not sure if they are or aren't is not nice, please see WP:AGF. Thanks! Gscshoyru 04:08, 18 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, I didn't look at the actual sources yet. I just removed the sections without any citations whatsoever. That doesn't mean that the rest of the sections were supported by the references, or that that the references conformed to wiki policy. NangOnamos, he did create the article, it's in the history. But that doesn't matter at all, Khanhamzakhan, see WP:OWN. Also, both of you need to see WP:CIVIL and WP:NPA. Additionally, you've now both broken the WP:3RR rule which I warned you both about, so you will both probably end up blocked for 24 hours or so. Use the block to calm down, and I'll take a look at the article, and I'll see what's supported and what isn't, ok? Gscshoyru 12:18, 18 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that recently you carried out a copy and paste page move from Pashtun Mafia. Please do not move articles by copying and pasting them because it splits the article's history, which is needed for attribution and is helpful in many other ways. In most cases, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. If there is an article that you cannot move yourself by this process, follow the instructions at Wikipedia:Requested moves. Also, if there are any other articles that you copied and pasted, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. Gscshoyru 11:39, 24 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I understand that but I have been blocked before because this user keeps on Vandalising the page ; makes personal attacks on the discussion page; deletes stuff with out any compromise on the discussion page. Going through his history you don't see any positive contribution that he has ever made to any article. He does arounds deleting material from articles. I have on multiple occassion asked him for sources for his claims. I have posted various refernces till yet he has to produce a single refernce about his claims. the reason I copy and pasted it because I didn't want my self to get blocked. I repsect you ; you were the first one to stop him to vandalize this article. On the discussion page ; you can see we run around in cricles ; He tells me that the article has no sources ; I provide all the soucces even though they are on the articles main page; he says the authors of the those sources are incorrect; I tell him that they came in major news papers and if he has a problem take it witht the publisher. He deleted the stuff and says that I didn't provide any sources and starts the cycle again. Hope we can find a solution to it. I have at various times edited the article changed the wording to better represent the refernces and be more expressive and to come off as I am blaming an organization not an ethnicity that I myself belong to. Till this day this user is yet to comment on them . Hope we can find a soulution to everything and thank you again for helping me out. --Khanhamzakhan 19:28, 24 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You're not supposed to copy/paste to move a page. You're supposed to use the move tab at the top of the page. He should not have moved it without first discussing, you would not at all have been blocked for moving it back. However, you need to use the move tab to do so, so don't copy/paste to move pages, ok? That's all. Gscshoyru 19:33, 24 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I will keep that in mind --Khanhamzakhan 19:53, 24 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

The other user was constantly trying to blank out the page and I was restoring it I was preventing him to Vandalise the Pashtun Mafia. You can go ahead and look at the history to confirm it. The user tries to blank out the page ; curse at me ; make false allegations ; use personal attacks on the discussion page. Make illogical claims with out any sources to back them up.Goes around making forums abouts me online and yet has to make any positive contribution to Wikipedia except deleting content out of Wikis

Decline reason:

This is a content dispute. You need to either work out your issues on the article's talk page, take advantage of Wikipedia's dispute resolution mechanisms, or walk away. Edit warring is unacceptable.

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

[edit]

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. AfD nomination of Pashtun Mafia

Nonsense of Haji Ayub Afridi

[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Haji Ayub Afridi, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Haji Ayub Afridi provides no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Haji Ayub Afridi, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. The next time you violate Wikipedia's biographies of living persons policy by inserting unsourced defamatory content into an article or any other Wikipedia page, as you did to Sher Mohammed Akhundzada, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Toddst1 (talk) 03:27, 19 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Afridi Organization

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Afridi Organization, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Closedmouth (talk) 11:48, 22 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Darra Adamkhel.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Darra Adamkhel.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Please Check draft

[edit]

Dear Sir/Madam,

I respectfully request your assistance in reviewing my draft article, Draft:Mughal Khel. As a sub-tribe of the Yousafzai, the Mughal Khels are unique in that they are the only Yousafzai tribe residing in Southern Pakhtunkhwa, where they speak a soft version of Pashto. They are based in Bannu and their history and cultural practices have been documented in various online sources and books.

It is my hope that by writing this article, I can contribute to the knowledge base about the Yousafzai tribe and highlight their rich tradition of migration and cultural diversity. I would greatly appreciate your guidance and support in ensuring that the information is accurate and suitable for submission on Wikipedia.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
