Spam in EMC Atmos

[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on EMC Atmos, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because EMC Atmos is blatant advertising for a company, product, group, service or person that would require a substantial rewrite in order to become an encyclopedia article.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting EMC Atmos, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. To see the user who deleted the page, click here CSDWarnBot (talk) 20:40, 19 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Federal Enterprise Architecture

Hi, if you want to update the references, you have to look inside the text. I just updated one refenence as an example. Good luck. -- Marcel Douwe Dekker (talk) 14:09, 28 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

And I moved your message to the Talk:Federal Enterprise Architecture were these messages belong. Thanks for you effort any way. -- Marcel Douwe Dekker (talk) 14:22, 28 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on DESE Scratch2 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. — Timneu22 · talk 17:39, 6 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages to Wikipedia as doing so is not in accordance with our policies. For more information about creating articles, you may want to read Wikipedia:Your first article; you might also consider using the Article Wizard. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. What are you trying to accomplish with these pages? It seems you need help. Please consider WP:USERFYing the pages before posting.Timneu22 · talk 17:40, 6 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your recent contributions. Getting started creating new articles on Wikipedia can be tricky, and you might like to try creating a draft version first, which you can then ask for feedback on if necessary, without the risk of speedy deletion. Do make sure you also read help available to you, including Your First Article and the Tutorial. You might also like to try the Article Wizard, which has an option to create a draft version. Thank you. mono 17:46, 6 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from DESE:DESE Scratch2, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. mono 17:53, 6 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. — Timneu22 · talk 17:54, 6 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from pages that you have created yourself, as you did with this edit to DESE:DESE Scratch. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing. --ANowlin: talk 17:55, 6 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

HEY! Please slow down and listen. You are creating pages that make no sense. You really should create these pages in your user space before posting them. Then when you are done, someone can help you to make sure they are good enough to not be deleted. By constantly reverting other editors' edits, and by removing speedy deletion tags, your acts appear to be vandalism. Will you please slow down and userfy the pages so that we can help? — Timneu22 · talk 17:56, 6 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:DM2s 3 levels.gif

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:DM2s 3 levels.gif. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 15:05, 29 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Rich Tosi has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article about a living person that has no reliable sources so clearly violates Wikipedia's rules on biographical articles.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Sparthorse (talk) 21:13, 5 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Bill Kauth requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Sparthorse (talk) 21:17, 5 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Removing Speedy at Bill Kauth

[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thanks for taking the time to contribute.

I'm a bot designed by another Wikipedia editor, and I'm here to help you with our deletion process. I noticed that while working on an article recently, you removed a speedy deletion template that tagged it for deletion. Don't get discouraged! Deletion discussions happen on Wikipedia all the time.

If you don't want the article to get deleted, please click here.

The link will take you to the talk page, where you can explain why the article should be kept. If you have any questions about this or need help with editing, you can ask at the Help desk.

We really hope you'll stick around to help make Wikipedia better! Thank you, - SDPatrolBot (talk) 21:19, 5 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Bill Kauth. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Click here to contest this speedy deletion, which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 21:21, 5 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning. The next time you remove a speedy deletion notice from a page you have created yourself, as you did at Bill Kauth, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Sparthorse (talk) 21:24, 5 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Rich Tosi requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Quick mini-survey about your editing experience

[edit]

Hi Kitdaddio,

You are one of a number of users who recently received a message from SDPatrolBot. I'm curious to hear about your experience with the speedy deletion process and how you feel about the message you received. Specifically, I'd like to know...

  1. Was the message clearly written?
  2. Was it helpful in communicating what you should do to save your article from getting deleted?
  3. Are there any changes you'd like to see made to such messages in the future that you think might make them more effective for new users?
  4. Any other observations you'd like to make about contesting a speedy deletion? How did you find the process overall?

If you'd prefer not to answer in a public space, you can feel free to email me your response (mpinchuk@wikimedia.org), and I'll be sure to keep it private unless you indicate otherwise. Your observations and suggestions are really valuable for helping improve the new editor experience on Wikipedia, so any feedback you can give would be appreciated immensely! Speedy deletion nomination of DoDAF V2.0 Viewpoints

[edit]

Hello Kitdaddio,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged DoDAF V2.0 Viewpoints for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks, Barney the barney barney (talk) 17:12, 27 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Quintuple-DES for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Quintuple-DES is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Quintuple-DES until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. QVVERTYVS (hm?) 23:00, 18 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
