FLC review request
Hi! Hope you're well. I was wondering if you had some free time to comment on an FLC I've had up for about 6 weeks. Link to article and link to the FLC It would be much appreciated. Cowlibob (talk) 13:57, 9 June 2014 (UTC)

Hi, now that you have 4-5 FAs and as many FLs, you could go for WP:FT?. Rani Mukherji would be the best bet to start with. —Vensatry (ping) 18:41, 14 June 2014 (UTC)

- as you can see [1] it was contested by the IP that you reverted. and as you can also see from that version there are no inline citations to any of the appearances of the birthdate in the article. If there is a Reliable source, fine, but it is the person adding the content who is responsible for adding the inline citation, I am not responsible for searching through every source to see if some other cite supports one birthdate over another. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 12:03, 16 June 2014 (UTC)
- If you going to revert, then yes, it is your burden to search through the source provided at the end of the sentence. But ahem, why do I even bother explaining that to you? You won't listen to me anyway. -- KRIMUK90 ✉ 14:00, 16 June 2014 (UTC)

SRK
Hi. Before we get this guy to GA, I think we should first consider moving the article to the 3 word version of his name. I tried to contact Shshshsh, who felt strongly about the 2 word version, but he is not answering. I was going to put up an RfC, but I wanted to get your opinion first, if we will be collaborating on this. BollyJeff | talk 15:15, 5 June 2014 (UTC)
- I was also thinking the same thing. Since his official twitter account uses the 3 word version, maybe it is best we change it to that. I have his filmography list at the FAC, so will need to change that too. -- KRIMUK90 ✉ 01:38, 6 June 2014 (UTC)
- So I have started this task now. Maybe you can see where I am going with this article. We cannot describe all of his films, but should summarize the various sections of his film career and other work. I am going to need a lot of help. Could you maybe start working from the bottom up as I work from the top down, or do you want to split it another way? BollyJeff | talk 14:37, 11 June 2014 (UTC)
- Yep, yep. That works. I'll start tomorrow. :) KRIMUK90 ✉ 15:48, 11 June 2014 (UTC)
- I am just about finished with the early life and acting career sections. I found it hard to cut very much. I also fixed all the dead links. What sections are working on next? BollyJeff | talk 20:33, 16 June 2014 (UTC)
- Hey, Bollyjeff. I'll return to the lower sections very soon. I have just been feeling very lazy. -- KRIMUK90 ✉ 03:10, 18 June 2014 (UTC)
- I am having trouble making any progress on 'Stage performances' (needs more summary, less details), 'Endorsements' (same plus updating), 'Humanitarian causes' (too lengthy). I will look at the last three sections next, with the aim to reduce fluff and the number of sources. BollyJeff | talk 12:46, 19 June 2014 (UTC)

DYK for Saraswati Park
On 19 June 2014, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Saraswati Park, which you recently created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that Anjali Joseph's debut novel, Saraswati Park, won both the Betty Trask Prize and the Desmond Elliott Prize? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Saraswati Park. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, live views, daily totals), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page. |

Hello there. I would really appreciate it if you could kindly post your comments at the FLC nomination for the 75th Academy Awards right here. I don't want to sound like canvassing, but the nomination is lacking any comments or such. I would hate to see a nomination go to waste. Your work is greatly appreciated,

- Main badhiya! Aap kaise hai? I see you have started the Kareena Kapoor Khan filmography page. Excellent! -- KRIMUK90 ✉ 02:05, 8 June 2014 (UTC)
- Main bhi theek hoon! Poochne ke liye shukriya! :) I just needed to ask you about adding "television" appearances. As you know a lot of celebrities appear on reality shows like Indian Idol to promote their films, and adding them would be ridiculously painful. However, now celebrities appear on TV serials too; for e.g. Vidya Balan appeared as herself on Bade Achche Lagte Hain to promote SKSE. Can we add something like that? -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 02:15, 8 June 2014 (UTC)
- I think it's really unnecessary to add TV serial appearances if they appear as themselves to promote their films. However, if they play an important role, like Rani, Kareena and Aamir played in C.I.D., we should include them. -- KRIMUK90 ✉ 02:18, 8 June 2014 (UTC)
- Ok! Makes sense. Would Kareena's appearance as Mahi Arora on Punar Vivah be okay to add? -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 02:28, 8 June 2014 (UTC)
- I don't watch these soaps, so I don't know what her role was in it. Did she really "portray" the character, or was she just promoting Heroine?-- KRIMUK90 ✉ 02:32, 8 June 2014 (UTC)
- I don't watch them either, but this says that she portrayed the character. -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 02:37, 8 June 2014 (UTC)
- LOL! These news channels are an extension of the soaps! Haha, but anyway, it does look like she "acted" in the show so it's fair enough to add it. :) Let me know if you need some other help with the list. Good luck! -- KRIMUK90 ✉ 02:39, 8 June 2014 (UTC)
- Haha! Thanks dost! :) BTW would that video be okay to use as a reference? -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 02:41, 8 June 2014 (UTC)

- Shukriya dost! :) What is your thought on appearances on Koffee with Karan and game shows—should they be added? -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 03:11, 8 June 2014 (UTC)
- Definitely not. Chat show and film promotion appearances shouldn't be included in the filmography page. -- KRIMUK90 ✉ 04:04, 8 June 2014 (UTC)

- I had a question. In Katrina's page, the years active in the infobox is currently 1997-present, cos that's when she had her first modelling assignment, but shouldn't it be changed to 2003-present? Since that's when she became notable and "worthy enough" to have a Wikipedia page. AB01 I'M A POTATO 09:35, 27 June 2014 (UTC)

Finding Fanny
I was wondering if you could help me out. A guy, who says he's from the production house of the film keeps reverting my edits, and instead has produced very vague synopsis of the film that is apparently from the production house. Isn't that copyrighted material, meaning it's not allowed? AB01 I'M A POTATO 06:11, 4 July 2014 (UTC)
This is not copyrighted material. This is the media one-liner that is being sent out to everywhere, and can be used across platforms. Prithviraj2002 (talk) 06:33, 4 July 2014 (UTC)
- "Sent out to everyone" by whom? -- KRIMUK90 ✉ 06:33, 4 July 2014 (UTC)
By the official PR team to the media. Like I have asked the other contributor : who is their source of information for the synopsis ? Where has this been verified? I have also clearly mentioned that the detailed official media synopsis will come out in the next few days when the trailer launch happens. In case there are any more queries, please refer your queries to the official PR team : hemanshu.mistry@in.foxstarstudios.com. Hope this clarifies. 07:16, 4 July 2014 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Prithviraj2002 (talk • contribs)

And is there any minimum number of "support" tags that are needed for a FAC to be promoted? BTW, I think I should feel ashamed to do most of the work of an article nominated by another person, just because he is absent. But the main reason I'm doing most of the work is not only Sriram's absence, but to see a Tamil film article become a FA (and the first of its kind too) Kailash29792 (talk) 14:29, 13 June 2014 (UTC)

- While your comments have been marked as "Resolved" (which I also thanked you for), there are some things I think you didn't see:
- The Cast and technical crew now share the same section (retitled "Cast and Crew") as per the wishes of nominator Sriram. Does that look fine?
- In 2006, Saran revealed in a conversation with director S. P. Jananathan that his nervousness rendered him sleepless for four days until the film was released - this sentence has been shifted from "filming" to "release". I think that fits well.
- Is the sentence "Because most films that released on Diwali and Pongal were unsuccessful, Gemini helped the industry recover" polished? Or can it be?
- In which section will this sentence fit? The film was the 162nd production of AVM Productions,[10] and their first film after a five-year hiatus. Their last production before the hiatus was Minsara Kanavu (1997), the release of which marked fifty years since its first production Naam Iruvar (1947).[b] By producing Gemini, AVM became one of the four film studios that had been producing films for over fifty years.[13] It is currently in "Development". Akki's filmography
I have rephrased the first para of Akshay Kumar filmography. Can you review the first para. I have a few questions related to filmography articles;
- Is it necessary to use the {{Sortname}} template?
- Should the Title always be the first column?

- Hi. Yes, please use the sortname template for names. Using "title" in the first column is not compulsory, but it's good to maintain consistency over all filmography pages. I'll try to copy edit the lead sometime this week. Cheers! -- KRIMUK90 ✉ 15:38, 20 July 2014 (UTC)
