[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia, Kromholz! I am Calaka and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Copyright policy advisement regarding articles
[edit]Dear Kromholz, regarding your contribution, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from web sites or printed material without the express permission of the author or copyright holder. This article appears to be a direct copy from this URL: http://www.pianostreet.com/sheet_music/Baumfelder.htm As a copyright violation, the article has been deleted under the speedy deletion criteria.
If you choose to recreate the article, please ensure that the material is written in your own words. If you believe that using sentences from the source is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the Creative Commons Attribution ShareAlike License 3.0 (CC-BY-SA), then you should do one of the following:
- If you have permission from the author, leave a message explaining the details at the talk page of the new article and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
- If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the CC-By-SA or compatible license or released into the public domain leave a note at the talk page of the new article with a link to where we can find that note.
- If you own the copyright to the material, you may either send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the CC-By-SA and GFDL, and note that you have done so on the talk page of the article, or place a note releasing the material as above at the external site. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for instructions.
Thank you. – Toon 16:40, 1 October 2009 (UTC)
- I tagged your draft at Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Valery Maisky for deletion since it is also a copyright violation: if there is no note about a copyright, then it is simply copyrighted in the eyes of Wikipedia. (oh and by the way: the daft would have get declined as it contains only unreliable sources.) Regards, mabdul 11:42, 6 December 2011 (UTC)
Moving pages
[edit]If you feel strongly enough that Hungarians should have articles as John Smith and not Smith John, what you can do is "move" Smith John to John Smith. At Smith John, click on the downward triangle at the end of the row "Read | Edit | View history | (star) | (triangle)" and click on move. Wikipedia will move the page to John Smith and turn Smith John into a redirect. However, this assumes that the page John Smith doesn't already exist; if it does, making the move is a little more complicated. James470 (talk) 19:05, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
Your article has been moved to AfC space
[edit]Hi! I would like to inform you that the Articles for Creation submission which was previously located here: User:Kromholz/Valery Maisky has been moved to Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Valery Maisky, this move was made automatically and doesn't affect your article, if you have any questions please ask on my talk page! Have a nice day. ArticlesForCreationBot (talk) 23:51, 3 December 2011 (UTC)
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Valery Maisky requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. mabdul 11:40, 6 December 2011 (UTC)

mabdul 11:49, 6 December 2011 (UTC)The article Olim (disambiguation) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Unnecessary disambiguation page - there is already a hatnote where Olim redirects to, and the only other entry is a dictionary term.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. "Pepper" @ 21:51, 21 March 2012 (UTC)

Places of birth and death in the lead
[edit]Hi, just so you know, according to WP:OPENPARA, "Birth and death places should be mentioned in the body if known, and in the lead if they are relevant to the person's notability; they should not be mentioned within the opening brackets." [edit]Hello, I'm Doniago. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Fenugreek, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. An appropriate source for the Arabic for Fenugreek and its meaning was provided to Domingo, but no acknowledgement was received. Hardly an endorsement for the conscientiousness of Wikipedia editing.

[edit]Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Operas set in Algeria
[edit]A tag has been placed on Category:Operas set in Algeria requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Liz Read! [edit]Rubin (disambiguation)
[edit]Please note that disambiguation pages like Rubin (disambiguation) are meant to help readers find a specific existing article quickly and easily. For that reason, they have guidelines that are different from articles, including:
- Use exactly one navigable link ("blue link") in each entry that mentions the title being disambiguated
- Do not insert external links or references - Wikipedia is not a business directory
I was going to add the varietal to List of grape varieties with the reference you provided but I didn't know where to add it (Single species, Multispecies, etc), and the article is "Sponsored Content" which probably wouldn't pass WP:RS guidelines. I have removed the grape varietal from Rubin (disambiguation). If you can include it in an existing article, please add it back with that article as the "blue link".
