Your submission at Articles for creation: Trevor M Jones (September 2)

[edit]
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by DGG was:

This article is essentially a press release, and therefore unacceptable. This is not just a matter of style; major rewriting is necessary. (I apologize for the previous review, which dealt only with trivia.)

There is a major problem with content. "He is responsible for the development of ....". If he was research director, he was indeed responsible in an administrative sense, but the people who actually did the research and development are responsible for the drug. If he actually led the research team directly, you need to cite the key article for which he was principal author. The proper wording is, During his tenure, the company introduced x, y, and z.

There are also problems with specific content. (1) I cannot find evidence in the material presented or the references or in the sequence of positions in linkedin that he ever held a regular professorship; apparently he holds or has held a visiting professorship though I am not sure of the years. I see he is widely referred to in press releases as "Professor", but we regard such an appointment as just one of his many honours. (2) We need place of birth, if know; we need dates for his degrees; we need the place and dates of his postdoc. (3) We consider being an editor of journals significant. Please invclude them, with the exact positions and the years.

There are still significant problems with style: After the first use of the full name, we refer to him simply as "Jones" . We do not use Dr. or Prof. , and we never use just the first name except for entertainers. We normally include a list of major positions, but not ever board on which he was a member. We do not duplicate material in both text and a separate list. We write in paragraphs, not isolated sentences.

A tag has been placed on AT Medics, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
