Notability of Bards and Sages
[edit]A tag has been placed on Bards and Sages, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page (below the existing db tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Hatch68 19:10, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
- Update: We took the speedy-delete notice off the page to give you some time to work on things. Take your time, and if you need any help, feel free to ask any of us. Realkyhick 20:44, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
- Further update: As you've probably seen, the latest revisions are much improved. Good job! I just noticed that you would like to write articles on indie presses and companies like Bards and Sages. Be advised that it may be tricky to prove notability for some of these, no matter how well your article may be written. For instance, I can write an article about the CD that a good friend of mine self-published, and it could be one of the best things I've ever written, but it still wouldn't be notable because the CD never charted or wasn't written about by an independent source. It's not necessarily the quality of the article (which we always want to be the best possible), but the subject. If you need help, just ask. Have fun! Realkyhick 00:01, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
