This account was operated by me, Leah Miller, Director of Partnerships at the Global Enrichment Foundation (GEF), in unknowing violation of conflict of interest guidelines as it would relate to editing any article related to the GEF and Amanda Lindhout. I made three edits with this account and three as Patty.petunia (contributions). Both accounts were blocked as a result of this sockpuppet investigation. However, until recently, I did not know the identity of Radicalafrica, the main target of that investigation.

I apologize for the error.

I have since found that Radicalafrica was a former colleague at the GEF, who apparently created and used several accounts, in an attempt to force improvement of Amanda Lindhout. Beyond the fact that we were editing the same page(s), and are from the same area, I do not know why checkuser identified the accounts as being the same user.

The next SPI case also ended up blocking Jorgensena and Rocker striker based on editing from the "same area" (Jorgensena) and "same country" (Rocker striker) as Radicalafrica. "Same country" would be Canada, where Amanda Lindhout is well-known and popular, and the area could be Ottawa, presumably. I have no information about these users.

I'm requesting unblock so that I may communicate on behalf of the Global Enrichment Foundation and Amanda Lindhout, as may be requested, permitted, or useful.

I will, if unblocked, only edit in full compliance with COI guidelines, suggesting changes and providing possible sources on related Talk pages, editing related articles themselves only with minor edits not expected to be controversial. I don't understand "2 years ago." I made three edits, 7 November -- 5 December, 2011. I also edited as Patty.Petunia with another three edits, 14-30 November, 2011. I never edited Wikipedia before or after that, and, if unblocked, will confine my editing to this single account. Both accounts were blocked December 9, 2011, and it is only now that I've come to understand what I can do to properly clean this up. --Lola.2580 (talk) 14:26, 19 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
