Merge

[edit]

Hi, I have reverted your edits proposing merger of NMR and {{MRI]] articles, since you did not provide any reasoning for the merger of these long articles, on topics distinct enough to have been invented (and won Nobel prizes) decades apart. Note that, the current sentiment on the MRI page is that that article should be split up into multiple articles to give it the coverage that it deserves! If you still believe that the articles should be merged, please feel free to propose merger again and provide reasons as per WP:Merge. Regards. Abecedare 22:37, 15 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Commercial use of Image:HTNGLogoMini.png

[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:HTNGLogoMini.png, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:HTNGLogoMini.png is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only" or "used with permission for use on Wikipedia only" which was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19 or is not used in any articles (CSD I3).

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. This bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Image:HTNGLogoMini.png itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. If you have any questions about what to do next or why your image was nominated for speedy deletion please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thanks. --Android Mouse Bot 2 13:38, 30 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Valdore

[edit]

I've reverted your revert and redirected the page Norexan-class warbird back to Romulan starships. The title "Norexan" is purely apocryphal, there's no verifiable source to back up the class is called "Norexan". Nor is the ship notable enough to warrant a separate article. This is the second time I've objected to your split, you should not restore the article again without discussion. Matthew 11:08, 25 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You're making the assumption that nobody would object. The article itself probably has few people watching it, I personally missed your comment on the talk page (it happens when you have 4,000 things watchlisted...) -- I would of objected sooner had I realised. Even if my objection is a little late, it's still valid. Matthew 19:39, 27 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  1. "I am sorry, but your objections are really not that valid": You're welcome to your opinion.
  2. "First of all, if the name of the ship is not the right one, then it is wrong either you place it on a dedicated page or anywhere else": That doesn't even make sense...
  3. "It is true there are just a few information about this ship, but there are lot of page on Wikipedia with far less information and they are still considered valid":
    1. Indeed, there's hardly any information, that's why we create pages that cover multiple ships, rather than several short ones.
    2. There may be other "crap" that exists, your reasoning doesn't show to me any compelling rationale to give this ship an article, though.
  4. "Since the pages on Wikipedia are practically free, there is no reason to complicate the rading massing a lot of information on a single page instead of splitting info on separate and more readable pages": Again this doesn't make sense, if I'm reading it correctly then I disagree with you. Basically a strong article that covers multiple ships is better than several weak sub-stubs that probably wouldn't survive AfD. Matthew 11:10, 29 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

House

[edit]

The fact that he holds the cane in the wrong hand has been addressed on the show. It is not a factual error. House prefers to hold it in that hand and refuses to hold it in the correct hand as Cuddy and Wilson tell him to. You should watch all the episodes on DVD before updating the show's page.--Dr who1975 14:31, 29 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for File:Countdown poster art.jpg}

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Countdown poster art.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check:

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. I have nominated Bitflu, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Bitflu. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Otterathome (talk) 15:28, 29 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File:Icon bespin M.gif missing description details

[edit]
Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as:

is missing a description and/or other details on its image description page. If possible, please add this information. This will help other editors make better use of the image, and it will be more informative to readers.

If the information is not provided, the image may eventually be proposed for deletion, a situation which is not desirable, and which can easily be avoided.

If you have any questions, please see Help:Image page. Thank you. Theo's Little Bot (error?) 01:32, 14 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Jules Larson, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages CA, Strangers and Switched at birth. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
