[edit]

There is an open WP:SPI case looking at sockpuppet editing primarily on the Johann Hari/ Talk page. As you edited the Johann Hari/Talk page between 2004 and 2011, your input is welcomed. Yonmei (talk) 21:45, 23 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Now there's a name I haven't seen in a while

[edit]

Good to see you pop up on my watchlist. --Floquenbeam (talk) 02:58, 26 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. :) Giving things another go, for a bit. Hopefully I find something productive to do! – Luna Santin (talk) 03:02, 26 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
As I'm sure you know, your mop is still over there in the corner, with your name still on it. Although I can empathize if you don't want it back right now. --Floquenbeam (talk) 03:04, 26 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Can't decide. Probably should, but I worry I'd be out of touch with community norms. I suppose things can't have changed that much. Lots of new faces, and some cool new templates and scripts, but mostly everything looks familiar. It's great to see so many people have kept at it, yourself included. – Luna Santin (talk) 03:24, 26 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Nah, things haven't changed that much in a year; 99% of it is common sense, and that seems to be less common than it used to be. One more sane admin would be welcome. --Floquenbeam (talk) 12:52, 26 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, it's good to see your name again! Welcome back! :) Acalamari 07:45, 27 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, wonderful to see your name pop up with a current time stamp again :) --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 14:56, 27 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, both of you. I really appreciate the warm welcome I've been getting, and it's good to be back "home". I did pick a strange time to join back up, though: I'm going on two trips in as many weeks... oh, well! Thanks, again. – Luna Santin (talk) 21:51, 29 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

HOLY CRAP!

Welcome Back! :) We sent out our best internet search parties trying to find you, but they only turned up some b-tards, a couple LOLcats, a video of some dude embarrassing himself, and three illegal music downloads. I had given you up for lost, a victim of the internet black hole guarded by the insidious Rebecca Black. Good to see you back online and back here at Wikipedia. :) Let me know if you need anything to help you get back in the swing of things. Take Care...NeutralhomerTalk06:19, 12 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Got busy offline, mostly. :) By the time I realized I was taking a long wikibreak, it had already been quite a while. Edited anonymously, here and there. Of all the things to draw me back in, I saw some article getting vandalized after it was linked from Reddit and thought it needed semi-protection. Thanks for the welcome home!
I should probably poke around user scripts, a bit. Maybe I'll just steal somebody's monobookvector -- my old one just crashed the browser, the moment I logged in. :p – Luna Santin (talk) 15:48, 12 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Luna Santin. You stated some time ago that you would unprotect Origin of the Albanians; the page remains protected. It isn't my wish to complain about this, and if there is some reason why the page must remain protected, that's fine; however, if that's the case, I'd like to know what the reason is. Polisher of Cobwebs (talk) 01:30, 20 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Right! Thanks for the reminder -- I'm sorry to say that I forgot about it. I've unprotected the page at this time. – Luna Santin (talk) 04:22, 20 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protection or blocking

[edit]

Much appreciate your quick attention, regardless of the outcome. How could you block an anon IP that engages in persistent reverts (I think that is the same one for Paul Martin and Parliamentary leader, for the latter the edit war stopped because 99.224.54.167 won that round)? MonkeyKingBar (talk) 21:05, 20 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Looking at Parliamentary leader, I notice most of the reverts came from 142.205.241.254 (talk · contribs); trouble is, that seems to be a shared IP address with more or less tame edits since that edit war, so it's entirely possible that blocking them now would only inconvenience some other people without even affecting the user responsible for all of those reverts. As for the recent reverts at Paul Martin, it looks to me like that's a pretty normal content dispute -- as far as I can see, 99.224.54.167 (talk · contribs) has never edited at Parliamentary leader. The one incident is so old that there's no practical way to take action on it, and the other seems like a job for dispute resolution. – Luna Santin (talk) 21:12, 20 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Waiting for a yes or no :x

Hi Luna Santin. You participated in Wikipedia:Village pump (proposals)/Archive 78#Template to request a discussion be closed, after which {{Request close}} and Category:Requests for Close were created. There is a discussion regarding non-admin closures of non-AfDs at Wikipedia:Village pump (policy)#Non-AfD NACs. I have posed several questions there and am interested in your thoughts. Hi Luna Santin

[edit]

Hi, I would like to make responses to you, and to the comments made at ANI, however I feel it is important to have someone helpful to review my comments before I post them. I feel like I am being stalked by user:only on my talkpage, so I am not sure how to proceed, should I use email, or discuss what I would like to say with you, I have asked LadyOfShallot for assistance also. [edit]

I've been trying to get a hold of you, but haven't been able to, and then I thought the dumb thing was I never posted here :P but if you could send me an email or stop by IRC sooner rather than later that would be great. Sorry if this is the first you've heard/known about this. -- DQ (t) (e) 23:39, 28 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for getting to that, but could you stop by the list and give a ban to the one obviously disruptive email please? -- DQ (t) (e) 20:45, 4 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Luna Santin, I am Alexgreene87. I wasn't sure what to do when editing the page so I am leaving this message with you. This is about John Morrison going to face Dolph Ziggler for the WWE United States Championship at Survivor Series 2011. It has been reported on WWE.COM.

A Suggestion

[edit]

Heyas, might I suggest an article that I created (shameless promotion) that might help with any "please stop deleting my page" and "why did you delete my page" posts you might have received. It's User:Neutralhomer/WWMAD. What I do is just post it as {{subst:User:Neutralhomer/WWMAD}}~~~~ and it creates the section header and signs it itself, just a copy/paste job. It might help so you won't have to constantly answer those posts. Just slap the template on their talk page. Feel free to tinker with the page at User:Neutralhomer/WWMAD, if you like. - NeutralhomerTalk01:51, 13 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Personal Thank You for your Dedication and Kindness

[edit]

I would like to thank you. I hadn't signed into Wikipedia since I assumed I would never be unblocked. I am glad to see I was in good faith. The articles you posted are helpful. Since this is my first time logging in since 2007, I'll be sure to review everything again. I can see you are a spectacular admin from the comments on your talk page. I hope Wikipedia continues to have good mods and admins like yourself. Again thanks for your time, dedication, and kindness. CoolSilver (talk) 15:42, 21 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
