Trash Bag Bunch AFD

How did the majority end up being redirect. According to the article's entry [1] only one user voted to blank and redirect and another (you) voted delete it. The rest in a total of four votes voted to keep it. So how can the consensus be to blank and redirect? Explain this.--Nadirali نادرالی (talk) 21:34, 10 January 2015 (UTC)

Keep in mind that the bolded keep/delete that begin each editor's contribution to the discussion are suggestions, not votes. The discussion as a whole is taken into consideration when closing. The result was not a vote tally. I dont know, I didn't close it nor should I since I participated in the discussion.
The arguments for keep were not strong. Your argument was one is that is specifically mentioned as one not to make in a deletion discussion (other stuff exists). The other keep argument found only a passing mention of the product in a newspaper article not focused on the subject of the article, not sufficient to meet WP:GNG. Neither were sufficient to keep the article. I suspect the redirect result was a compromise. You'd need to ask the person who closed it. If you disagree, you may take it to a deletion review, there is a link at the top of the discussion.--RadioFan (talk) 17:21, 11 January 2015 (UTC)

Thanks for the response. I still believe the users despite their weak arguments provided sources. I also am certain that despite not being votes, two users do not constitute consensus. Reaching clearly policy clearly supports this argument. So I am still bewildered as to why it's being considered consensus when the widespread number of editors voted to keep while only two voted to blank+redirect.--Nadirali نادرالی (talk) 19:59, 12 January 2015 (UTC)
