Hello, Katherine!

You started creating articles about Ediacaran fossils. It's good, but you have to be careful, attentive and good understand the subject. The majority Ediacaran taxa described before 1997 are questionable (first of all, it is numerous discoidal fossils). Many were described without an correct understanding of their nature, taphonomy, ecology, and are represented by single poorly preserved specimen. At present many taxa have been rejected or synonymized with other taxa or forgotten, ignored until the appearance of new informative specimens someday.

For example, remarks to the Studenecia article:

Correct name. Yuri Gureev named this fossil Studenicia galeiforma gen. et sp. nov. (link to download Gureev, 1983). Studenecia is incorrect spelling. This incorrect form appeared in one word together with numerous correct forms in the Menasova Angelina PhD dissertation 2006. Unfortunately I was duplicating this misprint in the List of Ediacaran genera (), and it spread on the web. I was inattentive.

Figure Studenecia. It is Bergaueria major Palij, 1976, a sea anemone trace fossil (vertical burrow) from Early Cambrian of the Ukraine. Not Studenicia.

Locality. Dniester river, near Studenitsa village, Podolia, Ukraine. Not from Romania.

Taxonomic status. Gureev described Studenicia galeiforma in article 1983 and interpretated it as body fossil of a primitive cnidaria. However, already in 1984 he refused his earlier version and reinterpretated this fossil as trace fossil Monocraterion isp. (see Ivantsov et al., 2015 "Upper Vendian macrofossils...", page 105, 111). Since then, no new material and research has appeared. In the S. Jensen critical review (2008) Ediacaran trace fossil record it is noted that the published information does not allow for a critical evaluation nature of this fossil.

Error taxobox colour

Hi, please don't leave articles with the error taxobox colour – red boxes – as at [1]. Normally, a manually constructed taxobox would have a phylum present which sets the colour. In the case of Ediacaran fossils, where it's not clear whether they were animals or plants, you need to add |colour_as=incertae sedis (or |color_as= if you prefer) to make the taxobox assume the incertae sedis colour.
